Collections: Just Blaze Tweets Random Sneakers

Hip-hop beatmaker Just Blaze recently went through his sneaker ~~closet~~ room during a house-cleaning session and decided to tweet some stray pairs from his impressive collection. Sporting rare collabs, OG Nike Basketball kicks, and some friends-and-family pairs, Just Blaze definitely turned up the heat with his sick stash, which included the Pharrell x Nike Dunk High, the ESPO x Nike Air Force II, and boxes upon boxes of Bape x adidas Super Skate Mids. Just Blaze himself mentioned that he’s not into the “new age sneaker game”, explaining the lack of recent releases in his collection, but the pure quality of this sampling only forces us to wonder what other gems he has in his sneaker vault. Oh how things have changed for Bape. A few years back and any pair of A Bathing Ape Bape Stas wouldn’t be complete without shiny patent leather in glowing colors with all over print Baby Milo heads and gold laces. Ok that description was a little hyperbolic, but the point is that Bape doesn’t have to rely on crazy colors to turn heads, just check out these two pairs of the A Bathing Ape Bape Sta in Donegal Tweed. Simple brown and black colorways with smart materials and the all important gum-sole, what’s not to like? Also check out the leather piping blocking off the sections of the upper, giving them an almost Vandal like look. A Bathing Ape Nubuck Bape Sta – Available

Of course it looks like the Nike Air Force 1, but have you seen palettes like the ones used on this new set of A Bathing Ape Bape Stas, on a pair of Uptowns recently? The AF1 has released in more colorways than any model in history, so it’s not too hard to think of models similar to these somewhere back a few years (some longer than others), but in 2011, these do a great job of blending Bape’s high-contrast past with its apparently subtler present. Sneaker Con DC August 2011 – Event Recap

An event so nice, they had to do it twice (in one weekend). Sneaker Con visited the nation’s capital for the second time in 2011, and with the April 2011 showing breaking all-time records (2,500+ came through), Sneaker Con doubled its hours and made it into weekend-long festival, celebrating the hottest sneakers in the game in one of the biggest sneakerhead regions on the globe. As expected, Foamposites shined through, as it is a popular pick in the area, but there was a diverse collection of footwear in the entire room, such as Jordans, Air Maxes, SB Dunks, adidas Originals, and other great brands. A Bathing Ape Bad Sta

A Bathing Ape has borrowed a variety of classic American sneaker designs over the years ranging from the Nike Air Force 1 and Vans Era to the adidas Superstar and Clarks Originals Wallabee. The latest is a takeoff on Converse’s immortal Jack Purcell, the Bape Bad Sta a toe ‘smile’ away from being indistinguishable from the original. A Bathing Ape x adidas Originals Superstar 80s ‘B-Sides’ – New Images

The last time Bape hooked up with adidas it was a pretty big deal, with the collabo resulting in the ultra limited Adidas Super Ape Star Camo, a sneaker that still fetches a pretty penny on the resell market. Keeping that in mind, the long overdue followup should shake things up as well. This go around is much calmer than what you’d expect from Bape, but the clean off white sneaker mirrors the overall trend of streetwear since the last time these two giants got together. We’re back with some detailed photos of the A Bathing Ape x adidas Originals Superstar 80s ‘B-Sides’, giving you an up close look at the various bits of Bape flavor that make these adidas so special. Solemart Paris 2011 – Event Recap

The pre-eminent sneaker-centric events on the other side of the globe went down on Sunday, July 3rd, as countless sneaker-heads filled the La Cartonnerie venue to witness one of the best gatherings of footwear in the world. Solemart Paris 2010 was a huge success, so the expectations were quite high for the 2011 follow-up – and based on the turn-out, the outlook on the Solemart Paris 2012 is quite positive. Here we have a quick visual recap, courtesy of La MJC, of Solemart Paris 2011; the event-goers and vendors all brought their best and brightest, with an added bonus being the impressive set of Air Jordans – a sneaker sub-category that doesn’t have much representation out in Europe.
