The long time partnership of adidas and Bape is bringing in a new partner for 2012, with California colossus Undefeated pouring in a bit of influence on the consortium collection pairs shown as well. Included is the adidas ZX5000 and two pairs of the adidas Campus 80s. Each of the three take the classic Bape camo approach, varying the degree to which that army print is used. It’s not at all shocking that a brand whose first Weapon collaboration with Converse told us “War is Big Business”, would team up with one of the world’s foremost purveyors of stylish camouflage prints. The Brand with the Three Stripes brings together two giants of the streetwear world as Japan’s A Bathing Ape team up with West Coast kings Undefeated for a trio of military-inspired releases coming up in just over two weeks. The UNDFTD x BAPE x adidas Originals Campus comes in your choice of olive or black, two subdued camo-lined styles that play the background to a GI Joe of a ZX 5000 runner. UNDFTD x Bape x adidas ZX5000

Last week we caught a glimpse of the upcoming adidas ZX5000 designed in tandem with California-based UNDFTD and Japan-born A Bathing Ape, spotted on the cover of the upcoming Sneaker Freaker issue 25. It’s a perfect mix of the two distinct viewpoints, mixing Bape’s signature camouflage print logo on the upper and UNDFTD’s American roots with the red, white, and blue stripes on the upper. Gold-foil logos are spotted on the heels, with the UNDFTD logo standing alone on the left shoe and the Bape symbol on the right. Bape x UNDFTD x adidas Campus

Has UNDFTD become to go-to U.S.-based partner for great sneaker collaborations? Their iconic strike-through tally logo has become a mainstream symbol of urban lifestyle – particularly in footwear – and this upcoming release in partnership with A Bathing Ape and adidas Originals further proves that UNDFTD is the undisputed leader for these sorts of co-op designs. Using the adidas Campus as the base, UNDFTD and Bape make their marks with the proper gold-foil logo-ing on the heel with A Bathing Ape’s much-duplicated camouflage print on the interior lining as well as the tongue. A far more ‘casual’ package than the trail-inspired ZX 5000 that’s part of this Pack, the Bape x UNDFTD x adidas Campus is set for a release on October 26th. A Bathing Ape and Undefeated were both involved when adidas Originals issued their ‘B-Sides’ Collection last summer in tribute to some of the ’00s best Three Stripes collabos. This time, Bape and UNDFTD see their common military influences come to life on a joint project, as The Brand with The Three Stripes resurrects one of its classic premium running silhouettes for its first release in a good while. The Bape x UNFTD x adidas ZX 5000 makes a strong first impression with olive and tan suedes accenting a quintessential Bape camo print along with GIJoe-ish Stripes and a white/gum sole setup to finish off this all-American hero. Hip-hop beatmaker Just Blaze recently went through his sneaker ~~closet~~ room during a house-cleaning session and decided to tweet some stray pairs from his impressive collection. Sporting rare collabs, OG Nike Basketball kicks, and some friends-and-family pairs, Just Blaze definitely turned up the heat with his sick stash, which included the Pharrell x Nike Dunk High, the ESPO x Nike Air Force II, and boxes upon boxes of Bape x adidas Super Skate Mids. Just Blaze himself mentioned that he’s not into the “new age sneaker game”, explaining the lack of recent releases in his collection, but the pure quality of this sampling only forces us to wonder what other gems he has in his sneaker vault.
