Ever since Nike Basketball introduced its Elite series of post-season models, gold has been part of the equation. Instead of being the first pairs to the party this year, the “Gold Collection” hops in line at a later point – they’ll be releasing on June 6th, 2014. As you can see, the KD 6 Elite Gold and the Kobe 9 Elite Gold end up with a white base while the LeBron 11 Elite Gold has sort of an “Away” feel due to the darker tones. Take a look at all three after the break and tell us in the comments which of these Nike Basketball Elite series pairs, which will be the last of this year’s Elites barring any sort of Championship pairs, you’re feeling the most.

Those State Farm commercials sort also play with the premise of alter egos but it’s Chris Paul’s Jordan Brand signature line that has the longer history with this sort of theme.  The Jordan CP3.VII AE in this new colorway is perhaps a continuation of the wild Jekyll & Hyde theme, but the concept is now combined into one shoe as the left and right shoes take on different color characteristics. Click in so you can see more of this Flywire-rich model Chris Paul and look for this “Jekyll and Hyde” style at DTLR locations now.

It’s hard to believe that Kevin Durant didn’t make it to the Western Conferece All-Star team during his rookie season, but what’s more astonishing is the fact that KD had to sit out two years before playing on theSunday night show. The man who likes to refer to himself as “The Servant” did serve his time in the NBA’s rookie-sophomore game though, and today we get a refreshed look at his first official All-Star signature shoe – the Nike Zoom KD 1 that he wore during the 2009 Rookie Challenge in Phoenix. Featuring an almost-Creamsicle look of orange and navy, the shoe sports a star graphic on the medial side of the sneaker while the outer’s burnt orange contrasts with blue laces. Durant would go on to be MVP of that game thanks to 46 points in a flash of what was to come. Be sure to check out this rare Kevin Durant All-Star PE after the click and know that if you’re truly feeling this pair, you can grab them via caliuser1457 on eBay.
