Kobe Bryant has always been a work of art in motion when on the basketball court, which is why it was so sad that we only got to see him play a dozen or so games in the Nike Kobe 9 Elite last season. One of the more formidable releases of his ninth signature happened to be the Nike Kobe 9 Elite “Detail”, a sneaker that took inspiration from the Italian Renaissance and sculptor Michelangelo, as the pair featured a flywire upper supported by a marble like print. Dank Customs translated the look onto a pair of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Lows, giving the outsole and heel the cracked pattern while a custom heel loop features hints of red. Hit the click for a better view and let us know what you think of these customs in the comments.

There’s a very real possibility that the Nike KD line will soon be extinct if you believe the reports about the exact size of the pile of money that Under Armour is prepared to throw at the Thunder star. Were that to go down, we can only assume that the KD 7 would be cut short in terms of retail releases, special editions, and the like. Showing up before any sort of contractual expiration is this Nike KD 7 “35K Degrees” take that plants the logo of Durant’s skills academy on the inside of the tongue. Does that covert touch really skyrocket their value this much though? Tell us what you think after you check the asking price from kbecks827 on eBay.

In case you missed it, the Kobe 9 Elite Low returned to NIKEiD in a major way this morning, introducing 11 new fade options to the Flyknit upper. This new option features a dual color gradient, starting at the the heel in one shade and working its way to the front toebox in an entirely different hue. The pair has been sought after ever since those HTM iterations surprisingly popped up at Nike Lab in New York City, and the Swoosh was kind enough to grant us all the opportunity to mimic those Multi-Color joints, if only for a brief time.
