Another Look at the Nike KD 7 “N7″

October 24th, 2014 by | No comments

another look nike kd 7 n7 01 Another Look at the Nike KD 7 N7

The annual installment of the Nike KD “N7″ is upon us, and this year’s may just be the best yet. That vibrant photo blue palette goes particularly well with the OKC uniforms, but there’s a lot more going on in this model that past years. Where as a Native American-motif is always present due to the fact that the existence of N7 is to help benefit that community, here it’s more obvious than ever thanks to a metallic gold totem pole like print on the heel. Accents of red arrive on the KD tongue detailing as well, and while we’ll have to wait a little bit longer to see Kevin wear this colorway in-game as he recovers from injury, what do you think of this pair? We’re still waiting to confirm a release date, but in the meantime we have a better view of the latest Nike KD 7 after the break.

Air Jordan 3 “Anaconda” PE for Drake

air jordan 3 anaconda pe for drake 01 Air Jordan 3 Anaconda PE for Drake

Drake isn’t afraid of flexing or the normal internet hatred that comes with it, which is why it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he’s more than happy to showcase brand new Air Jordan 3 PEs – and we’re talking multiple pairs here – while the rest of us have to deal with the information that Jordan Brand is putting the Elephant-printed favorite in the vaults for the foreseeable future. The Drake vs Lil Wayne PEs may have underwhelmed a bit, but a pair that definitely turned heads the mysterious Air Jordan III he donned in fellow YMCB affiliate Nicki Minaj’s Anaconda video. The interesting color blocking was something we haven’t seen before, and with rumors of fractal elephant print being featured throughout the upper, there was a shimmering of hope that JB was experimenting with a new colorway for the masses.  But with the good news of a better look, we find out that the pattern is actually just a clever nod at the Anaconda theme as a faux-snakeskin covers the upper in grey and black. Hit the click for a better view.

Entering 2015, the main focal point of Jordan Brand’s year will be helping the Air Jordan 7 celebrate its 23rd year with a number of OG Remastered colorways, but there’s more. Next year also marks three decades of brilliance for the brand, and to help they’re giving Mike’s first silhouette in the Air Jordan 1 a special laser etching for the shoe’s 30th anniversary. The sneaker already has a tentative release date of February 7th, but beyond that the details are fairly sparse as the near-monochromatic finish features a subdued off white and pure platinum finish with what looks like a 3M Swoosh aided by a unique print on the heel. Check out a few details of this upcoming celebratory Air Jordan 1 Laser and let us know if you’re excited about the prospect of the laser addition to the upper in the comments section.

Following a lengthy hiatus, Ewing Athletics is finally ready to unleash its coveted Rogue silhouette. Falling in line with brand favorites like the 33 Hi and the Center, the Rogue looks to make its presence felt this year with a slew of new colorways set to launch later this month. From those of which we’ve already seen, this OG scheme is certainly one of the most impressive. Featuring an alluring white make-up, the shoe makes to Shadow accents along the midsole and rear while Dream Blue tones evoke a softer sensibility throughout the tongue, perforated paneling, midsole and inner lining. The look is of course led by its two top straps which add a unique layer of distinction between this Ewing silhouette and all others. Look for them to land at select retailers for $120 on October 31st, including Rock City Kicks.

adidas Crazy 8 “EQT”

adidas crazy 8 eqt 01 adidas Crazy 8 EQT

Draft Day Kobes. You know the story – Kobe Bryant was selected fresh out of High School by the Charlotte Hornets, shipped over to the Lakers and the rest is history. The Black Mamba is cementing his legacy as one of the fiercest competitors post-injury in the Nike Kobe 9, but he started off his career with the three stripes. They’re still producing one of his first models under the cleverly anonymous monicker of the adidas Crazy 8 and it’s hard not to think of what ifs with this Charlotte-inspired teal and purple colorway. The other route here is that the three stripes could be referencing the bold style of the signature EQT colorway championed by the Running Support ’93 and nearly every other silhouette under that line. The bold style sees alternating panels of white and teal mesh with a plum lining and midsole to harken back to 90s nostalgia. What do you think? Check out more photos of this colorway after the break.
