fragment design nike blazer low fragment design x Nike Blazer Low

It’s not easy to quantify the number of Nike sneakers that Fragment Design and Hiroshi Fujiwara have contributed to, thanks to the latter’s part in the mighty HTM design collective. Ending up with the Fragment stamp rather than the HTM one is this upcoming release previewed by Fujiwara himself, which features a clean beige makeup for the Nike Blazer Low silhouette (As far as we can tell this one isn’t of the SB variety). Take a full look at the shoes after the break and check back in on Sneaker News for release info.

Nike Blazer Mid VNTG – Multi-Color Logos

March 19th, 2014 by | No comments

nike blazer mid vintage multicolor logo 0 Nike Blazer Mid VNTG Multi Color Logos

The Nike Blazer‘s signature VNTG formula involves a suede upper, Sail synthetic leather Swoosh and heel tab, unfinished nylon tongue and some degree of pre-yellowing on the vulc sole. Now this style has been done a whole bunch of different times over the past five years and in the more recent ones has been subject to a handful of subtle twists. The pivots on these new pairs are the ostrich texture on the Swoosh and heel (which has been available on NIKEiD for a little while now) and those primary rainbow branding hits on the front and back. That’s how you’ll tell these apart from similar pairs that dropped in 2009, and you can see more of the details in extra photos below while we wait for US release info.

Last year, the Nike SB Blazer (the original, Zoom Air-cushioned version introduced in 2005) ceded almost all of its catalog space to the LunarLon-equipped LR version.  We’ve already seen more new colorways in 2014 than ’13, but each of them has conformed to the new Premium SE build, which uses the Hyperscreen coating as debuted on the Lunar One Shot, and applies a similar process to the seamlessly integrated Swooshes.  This latter move in particular serves notice that while the silhouette is the same as when introduced some four decades ago, but the way it was constructed is thoroughly modern.  Click in for a closer view of this tonal grey pair, then cop yours from shops like Size?

nike sb blazer mid night factor glacier blue 06 Nike SB Blazer Mid Night Factor Glacier Blue

Do you notice anything different on this new Nike SB Blazer Mid release? The sneakers fiddle with the side Swoosh just a little; that logo shows up here with sort of a Tape look rather that the typical stitch on application. Should we expect all Blazers from the Nike SB realm going forward to take this approach? Probably not, so you might want to scoop up a pair should they disappear soon. Continue reading for the rest of the angles and keep in mind you can purchase this sneaker now from Euro footwear retailer Size?.

Nike SB Archives: Blazers of Glory

nike sb archives blazer history Nike SB Archives: Blazers of Glory

2005 was a year of transition for Nike Skateboarding. The SB Dunk line had by this point become a phenomenon, and would only continue to rise. Around this centerpiece, the rest of the lineup began changing, with established models put aside in favor of a set of new silos. The Angus, E-Cue and Delta Force (which had one single drop in ’06) were phased out, and in their place came the Zoom Tre AD, Paul Rodriguez’ first Swoosh signature shoe, more new styles from the Zoom FC and the addition of Beaverton’s first basketball shoe.

nike sb archives 2005 team manager series Nike SB Archives: 2005s Team Manager Series

Nike Skateboarding’s success did more to influence the rise of sneaker collaborations than any other single factor in the first decade of this millennium. Today, Sneaker News introduces a historical segment simply called Nike SB Archives with the aim of retelling the most riveting stories from the category during its heyday. Today’s topic – 2005′s Team Manager Series.
