The poor Spurs. We’re not too sure that they mind having their championship celebration immediately overshadowed by talk of where LeBron will end up by next season’s start, but for the past 2 decades, San Antonio has handled business as usual regardless of whether they win a championship or not. Kawhi Leonard’s Air Jordan XX8 SE PEs had a similar thought process throughout the NBA Finals, but previous Finals PEs took a different approach (just as long as they were produced by the Swoosh, that is). Today’s NINE@NINE takes a look back at the past decade of NBA Finals MVPs to get a close look at what exactly they were wearing, and the silhouettes featured are as diverse as the past champions themselves. From Dwyane Wade hoisting his first championship trophy in a Converse shoe, to a Paul Pierce signature sneaker that never even saw a retail release, the list serves as a reminder of the transformation of the Finals as a time for brands to showcase their design skills through special edition colorways. Stick with us to check out what the last nine NBA Finals MVPs wore en route to the Bill Russell trophy in our latest Sneaker News NINE@NINE feature, and let us know which pair is your favorite in the comments.

Richard Hamilton Gives Away Air Jordans In A Challenging Way

air jordan retro give away rip hamilton Richard Hamilton Gives Away Air Jordans In A Challenging Way

How greedy would you get if Richard Hamilton told you that you could carry out as many of his Air Jordan retros as you wanted, just as long as they all fit in your own two hands? That’s the challenge that the former NBA Champion is doling out to some lucky sneakerheads today, as they’re allowed to grab whatever they want from his recent pick ups, but if they drop anything on their way out then everything stays. Pictured here is a pair of the Air Jordan 7 “Hare” as well as yellow and green boxes from what looks to be this weekend’s Air Jordan Brazil Pack along with another 10 or so boxes. While it doesn’t quite look like everything will fit through that front door archway, we commend the effort to grab as many retros as humanly possible. kobe bryant elite low beethoven Kobe Bryant in Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Beethoven

Kobe Bryant has focused his attention away from the Finals to Rio and the World Cup, immersing himself in a sport he loved playing growing up and as an adult. He was recently spotted with fellow NBA pro Anderson Varejao (a Brazilian) to help Nike celebrate the sporting event, and in doing so, he wore the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low “Beethoven”. The low-top Elite version of the Kobe 9 has been one of the most buzzing sneakers of 2014, and with such a limited collection of colorways releasing in stores, the shoes will certainly be a tough find. Check out more of the Black Mamba in the “Beethoven” Kobe 9 Elite Low and let us know if these are one of the best releases of the Fall season.

nba feet 2014 nba finals game 4 recap 01 570x424 NBA Feet: 2014 NBA Finals Game 4 Recap

Who would’ve guessed that the series would swing in such a dramatic way once shifted back to Miami? If anything the Heat were in a decent position headed back to their home court with the 2014 NBA Finals all tied up at 1 game a piece. That was until Danny Greene caught fire, something as predictable as his usual Nike Zoom Flight The Glove selection, and Kahwi Leonard had a pair of his best games as a professional basketball player. Now the Spurs head back to San Antonio with an opportunity to avenge their heartbreak in 5 games. There were some redeemable on-feet selections for Miami though, like Dwyane Wade’s gold patent leather Way of Wades, LeBron donning a vibrant red and white PE of this Zoom Soldier 7 (a departure from his warm-up selection of the new “Atomic Mango” LeBron 11 Low) and Ray Allen surprising in a Jumpman Team 1 in white and gold. Which pair was your favorite? Hit the click for more NBA Feet images and let us know who wins Game 5 in the comments section.

NBA Feet: 2014 NBA Finals Game 3 Recap

nba feet for nba finals game 3 01 570x425 NBA Feet: 2014 NBA Finals Game 3 Recap

The Spurs channeled their inner NBA Jam as they shot a record 75% from the field in the first half. And while you can’t blame it on the shoes, considering Danny Green has been rocking the Nike Zoom Flight The Glove for quite some time now, the Spurs took control of the series and now hold a 2-1 lead over the Miami Heat. LeBron switched back to his Nike LeBron 10 Elite, surprisingly, in a colorway from last NBA Finals, while Kawhi Leonard opted for the Air Jordan XX8 SE for a breakout game. Ray Allen matched him and then some, getting a white base on his pair, while D-Wade wore an all-gold pair of the Way of Wade 2 Encore. What pair was your favorite? Stick with us after the click to get a full rundown of the latest wears in Game 3 of the 2014 NBA Finals and stay tuned for more NBA Feet posts right here on Sneaker News.

LeBron James’ wear of the Red October Yeezy 2s just might have inspired a currently Cleveland Cavs player. It was Kyrie Irving who this time showed off his pair of Air Yeezys, doing so while out at a Nike Basketball event in Hong Kong. Of course he also had some exclusives on feet that stuck with the red formula in the form of that Nike Hyperdunk 2014 PE that you can see after the break. Take a look at the evidence below and then tell us in the comments which of Kyrie’s red sneakers you’re feeling more.
