We’ve seen a huge surge of patterns, prints and graphics of all kinds in the streetwear and sneaker worlds over the past year-plus. Vans is at the head of the class when it comes to eye-catching prints, having offered patterned canvas skate shoes longer than most of its competitors in the skateboarding market have even existed. That’s why this new Vans OTW ‘Kitu Print’ pack feels both familiar and fresh: it’s inspired by 1990s hip-hop, is congruent with Vans’ own offerings of the era but still shows an eye toward modern color palettes with the extremely wearable greys, soft blues and greens. Click through to see the Vans OTW Piercy with its matching Checker tee along with the Stovepipe and Portmore button-up, and look for these at select retailers this February.

Just a few years ago, socks were a mere piece of undergarment that served the sole purpose of keeping your feet from stinking up your kicks. Today, socks are as much of a performance and visual necessity, and much of the credit of the rise in sock fashion goes to the Nike Elite Basketball Crew Sock. Since its unveiling in 2008, the Nike Elite sock has become a must-have accessory for fashion and for in-game use, with the signature markings that travel up the achilles and up to the calf being a must-have for any baller. What followed was a slew of in-house specialty colorways like ‘Galaxy’ and several other graphics done by Nike and third-party vendors, further pushing the “sock” game to new heights. Read on for complete Inside Access on the Nike Elite Basketball Crew Sock and let us know how many pairs you own!

Sneaker News has shown you a few classic Nike/Air Jordan catalogs over the years. Obviously, the retroed OG Air Jordan sneakers are our main focus, but there are a select few items that reach beyond the typical purview of Sneaker News. One such case is this Air Jordan V Archive Jacket, a black and University Red replica of the Air Jordan Warm Up top that released alongside the Fives in 1990. Featuring the same zip-off vest construction as the original, this is a perfect match for the upcoming ‘Fire Red’ Retro and hopefully a sign that we’ll see more notable throwback apparel items reissued; available now at NikeStore.

Try telling him that). Get a better look at the Air Jordan ‘Bred Vader’ t-shirt after the jump and pick yours up now from Vandal-A.

San Francisco’s Benny Gold hooks up with Los Angeles’ The Hundreds for a new collaborative project inspired by the former’s proximity to arguably America’s most famous span. The Benny Gold x The Hundreds Johnson Low ‘Golden Gate Bridge‘ features a rusty mix of patina and ostrich leathers designed to replicate the 75 year-old suspension’s unique color, while teal elements point to the Bay for which SF’s NorCal surroundings are named. They’ve even got grey-to-white faded laces to emulate SanFran’s notorious fog, and as you might expect from a design this detail-oriented, the cross-branding elements have been subtly hidden within. Benny Gold for The Hundreds might be the latter’s best footwear release to date, and they’ll be at the Bomb brand’s flagships on November 9th with an online release from BG the following Monday.

Previously concerned exclusively with the newspeak’d Suedes States, the Puma Shadow Society colludes to bring us a couple more of the German Cat’s classic silos with a bunch of extra laces in those ominous obelisk bags. The Puma Shadow Society R698 and ZDC82 take us back about two and three decades, respectively, but both show a knack for modern styling with premium suede and leather construction in fresh colorways for fall. These are slated to release alongside matching apparel on Saturday, November 24th (the day after Black Friday), but will you have a place for them in your sneaker/holiday budget even with all the crazy deals and dope pairs soon to be available? The fairest thing to do would be to check out more photos before you decide, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for updates on all the latest Pumas.
