Going from 12th man on the bench to superstar point guard in one of the most celebrated sports arena in the world is one thing, but to be the toast of the town in the year’s most star-studded basketball event is on a completely different level. Jeremy says he still has a hard time letting everything sink in, but we wonder how he handled being one of the brightest spotlights of the NBA All-Star Weekend. One of Lin’s proudest supporters is none other than Knicks fanatic Spike Lee, who was spotted during the All-Star Weekend wearing one of the funniest t-shirts we’ve seen; Jeremy Lin as Mars Blackmon on Spike Lee. Mars, as we know, is a fictional persona forged by Spike Lee during the Air Jordan advertisements in the early 90′s, but even Mars will admit that Lin’s success and meteoris rise goes beyond ‘the shoes’. If Linsanity has taken you over, hit up The Forest Lab to cope your own shirt! via FRESHNESS/jose3030

Socks are serious business – just ask DJ Clark Kent. The galaxy is indeed infinite, so it’s not much of a surprise that they hype surrounding the most notorious Nike footwear collection in recent memory has spilled over to apparel and undergarments. Nike Basketball released a special ‘Galaxy’ version of their popular Elite Socks to go with the Galaxy Foamposites, and given that the shoe versions were insanely difficult to come by, the socks might be the next best option (just wear ‘em with some sandals). Anything with ‘Galaxy’ on it is likely to be sold out by now, but check your local Nike retailer to see if they have these in stock, or try to cop a set right now on eBay.

Madison Square Garden and the NBA store reports Jeremy Lin jerseys to be the top selling jerseys and fan apparel of the month. With Linsanity taking over the world, there’s no question that Lin’s status as a Taiwanese-American draws appeal from American fans as well as those in the Far East. Just yesterday, Sneaker News reported the news of Nike’s extension of Jeremy Lin’s contract with the Swoosh, and they certainly wasted no time in spreading the Linsanity as we have a look at two new t-shirts featuring the catchy bold-faced syntax on the chest. Both colorways of the t-shirt feature that camo-like print seen on Nike Basketball PE releases, so could this signify a PE for Jeremy Lin? Let us know what you think of Jeremy Lin’s future prospect as a Nike Basketball athlete (is he worthy of a sig?) and cop either new colorway right now at Nikestore, and let’s see how Linsanity erupts tonight when the New York Knicks visit the Miami Heat tonight at 7 PM EST.

What happens when the world’s athletic footwear leader teams up with a brand so strongly associated with denim and its ties to American history that they’re in the baseball and apple pie pantheon? We already saw some Levi’s x Nike magic when the Air Jordan 1 ’23/501′ package released as the first Jordan Brand collaborative release back in 2008, and now, just like JB themselves, it looks like Levi Strauss & Co. will be offering a collaboration with Nike SB. Omar Salazar just tweeted an image of a black-tagged pair of Levis with a Swoosh where the model number would typically reside, so are we looking at another fresh cut of the impeccable 501, or perhaps an all new silhouette that really will be “The best jeans to sk8 in!” This also begs the question if we’ll end up seeing a Levi’s x Nike SB sneaker released, so be sure to check back with Sneaker News for updates, and let us know what you think of this new alliance.
