Just how solid is The Game‘s sneaker ‘game’? The West Coast rapper has thrown in the topic of sneakers in his bars from time to time (Barkleys, Air Max 95s), but it looks like his focus has shifted to the Foamposite, as he shows off a ‘Foam Bath’ – a hot tub filled with his Foamposite Ones and Pros. Quite an impressive stash of Foamposites right here, and it certainly goes to show that if you only recently started getting into the Foamposite craze, your collection could run pretty deep because of the sheer number of releases that hit us between 2010 and now. What’s the most impressive of the bunch? The Coppers? Galaxy Foams?

Inside Edison Chen’s Sneaker Closet

For those of you who aren’t in ‘the know’, a quick overview of the man known as Edison Chen: He has more sneakers than you. In all seriousness, to say Edison Chen is a jack-of-all-trades would be a severe understatement; he acts, sings, produces, builds businesses, and designs gear, and it’s still yet to be confirmed if he doubles as a costumed crime-fighter in the night. He’s the founder of CLOT, a name that sneakerheads have become very familiar with thanks to his countless collaborations with major footwear brands like Nike and Converse, so you can imagine his sneaker closet is rather jam-packed with heat. Well, you don’t have to imagine as much anymore, because he just gave us a quick look into his sneaker closet via his Instagram – a picture that has garnered over 10,000 ‘Likes’ from his countless followers. A Look Inside J.R. Smith’s Sneaker Closet

This ‘season’ (‘year’ might be a better word, given the circumstances) has been an interesting one for J.R. Smith. Seven years in on his prep-to-pro career in the NBA, Smith chose to avoid all the lockout uncertainty and head eastward to the Chinese Basketball Association. Though he was able to accomplish such feats as scoring 41 off the bench, Smith couldn’t get the Zhejiang Golden Bulls into the CBA playoffs, so with his season over, he was cleared to return to the States. J.R. signed with New York in Feburary at the peak of Linsanity, and though the Knicks are also done, they did manage to break a lengthy postseason losing streak. And now that this shooting guard whose on-court stylings got him onto the All-NBA Feet First Team, is done with a gruelling two-continent campaign, he’s free to goof around and do things like tweet photos of his sneaker closet. As you’d expect from a professional baller, the shelving units are a luxurious wooden build and they’re covered in Air Jordans, everything from 1s to AJF Fusions and some clear evidence that JR’s favorite Jays are the XX (perhaps owing to fond memories of his rookie season) — and what about all those Bibby PEs? Earl Bennett’s Sneaker Collection

Just yesterday, Sneaker News gave you a peek at Chicago Bears star Devin Hester’s Air Jordan collection that he put up for viewing on his Twitter account. He was actually engaged in a friendly sneaker e-battle with teammate Earl Bennett, who countered with his own stash of kicks which certainly trumps Hester’s accumulations in terms of variety. Alongside a sick Air Jordan collection, which featured OG Air Jordan X ‘Powder Blues’ and two pairs of original Air Jordan XIIs, Bennett’s collection certainly goes the deep route with an impressive selection of Nike Basketball, Nike Sportswear, Nike SB, and some high-end lifestyle kicks. Devin Hester’s Air Jordan Collection

Devin Hester has a history with notable cleats (anyone remember his Zoom Huarache 2K4 PE cleats from the Super Bowl XLI touchdown?), but the relative rarity with which Sneaker News covers NFL footwear and gear, the NFL’s all-time leading returner hasn’t managed a single mention. That ended when ‘Anytime’ got into a Twitter battle with teammate Earl Bennett that resulted in an extensive look though Hester’s collection of kicks from that ‘other’ Chicago number 23. Hester’s Air Jordan collection follows a trajectory familiar to many who’ve been collecting over the past decade or so: plenty of IIIs through XIVs with a few hybrids, trainers and Melos sprinkled in. We see an emphasis on Threes and the second three-peat, along with all of this year’s Air Jordan X Retros (plus a couple other familiar favorites) and a single pair of Air Force 1s tossed in for good measure. Sneaker News’ most recent look into the future of Jeremy Scott’s adidas Originals by Originals capsule wasn’t clear like a crystal ball, but rather expressed a whole range of colors as if mimicking light passing through a prism. The same kind of over-the-top high-contrast design is at work here with the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Instinct Hi, a model that instead of opting for a license plate or some such other tongue embellishment, opts for a wide range of eye-catching colors, all set to the tune of a quartet of macro animal prints.
