jam homemade converse chuck taylor all star Jam Home Made x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star

This new pair of Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars has nothing to do with homemade jam. Rather, they’re from Jam Home Made, a Japanese accessories spot that is now jumping into the footwear world with this team up project. The shoes keep things in line with their blacked out motif and feature some graphics scattered across the upper that depict scissors, safety pins, and the like. Reconvene after the break for the full set of photos on this new pair and watch for news on a possible US release courtesy of your friends at Sneaker News.

Converse CONS Malden Racer “Auburn”

converse malden racer auburn Converse CONS Malden Racer Auburn

First thing’s first: the Converse Malden Racer isn’t a new silhouette. While this upcoming pair might be the first time that they’re set to arrive under the CONS subdivision, this is far from the maiden Malden. With that being said, the 2014 entry for the Auckland Racer relative makes some departures in terms of blocking, with a setup that breaks the toe apart from the rest of the shoes in terms of shades used. If you’re wondering about the etymology of this particular shoe, remember that Malden, MA was where the All-Star brand got its start back in 1908. Get a better glimpse of this new Converse style with us below and stay tuned for their arrival at your local Converse account.

Sneaker culture is so wrapped up in hip-hop today that it’s never too surprising to see a brand work with an artist dominating the Bilboard charts. Whether that be the remnants from the early aughts sneaker boom or the holdover from Yeezy madness, it’s always a welcomed development when a brand deviates from the norm. Luckily we still have Converse to branch out and collaborate with some of the more iconic bands of past decades like their most recent pairing with Black Sabbath atop the ever-classic Chuck Taylor All Star. Featuring references to album covers like Never Say Die! and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, a third pair dons the ubiquitous grainy photo of Ozzy Osbourne front and center in concert holding up double peace signs. Be sure to check out more of this upcoming collaboration after the click and know that these pairs are available at select retailers today.

The Converse Aero Jam has been a bit quieter in 2014 than many of us expected. The Converse Weapon has kind of been stealing the show from it as of late, showing up just before the summer to bring the spotlight even further back in the All-Star brand’s basketball history timeline. Showing that they’re not ready to fade back into the archives just yet is this new release, which ends up as one of the most colorful to show up thanks to that rich blue nubuck across the top. See a full set on them after the click and purchase them now straight from DTLR.

The Converse CONS Weapon has seen a resurgence through a number of limited releases to create a buzz (we’re looking at the creative “Patchwork” and the classic “Lakers” colorways of recent) and now the silhouette has branched out in to the skating world with this release of the Converse Weapon Skate OX. The model features a low cut silhouette yet keeps things right in line with the classic hoops sneaker. We’ve seen this methodology before, with vintage basketball sneakers like the Nike Dunk and Air Jordan 1 repurposed as a skate shoe. This particular colorway sees a simple stone grey upper outfitted with a gum sole for a timeless look. Check out more images below of the upcoming Converse release and if you’re feeling this pair you can grab them today via Premier.

A Detailed Look at the Converse CONS Weapon “Patchwork”

June 18th, 2014 by | 4 comments

detailed converse cons weapon patchwork look 01 900x600 A Detailed Look at the Converse CONS Weapon Patchwork

The Converse Cons Weapon has seen a resurgence in popularity thanks to the ubiquitous American brand bringing back some of the most coveted colorways of the classic basketball model, whether it be that iconic Lakers colorway or the fact that they made them extremely limited. The exclusivity route seems to be the mode of operation for the Converse Weapon right now, as the latest “Patchwork” release will see a similarly slated drop. Inspired by vintage sports jerseys, each panel gets a different inspiration ranging from the mesh stylings of the 90s Phoenix Suns duds, to the letter blocking of the Kings on one toebox and the Lakers on the other. The pair is definitely eye-catching and with such a cool concept, will this compel you enough to try and grab a pair? They’re available overseas right now at select retailers like Footpatrol.
