It’s heartwrenching to give up a new pair of kicks, let alone a pair of Air Yeezys, to undergo the sneaker custom process, but if a guy like JBF Customs is handling them, you don’t have anything to worry about, really. The master of re-upholstery brings new life to the Air Yeezy with some Japanese selvedge denim and rich brown ostrich leather, but unfortunately these are a 1-of-1. If you need your own JBFs in your rotation, hit him at his website after you check out his latest work below.

air jordan 28 ray allen finals customs Ray Allen Wore A Pair Of Custom Air Jordans For Game 3

While Ray Allen definitely has access to some strong Air Jordan pairs for PE purposes, he’s not averse to having a customizer create a pair for him. The Heat at large have been rather friendly to custom shoe makers, as LeBron and Dwyane Wade have also been seen previously sporting pairs from the likes of Mache. Ray Allen called on Soles by Sir for this creation, which drapes the Air Jordan XX8 SE with a regal looking while and gold – and even recreates Sugar Ray’s official Jordan Brand logo. Take a look at his Game 3 shoes below and watch with us to see if Ray Allen brings out some more exciting Jordans for Game 4.

nike kd smart shoe A Young Scientist Transforms a Nike KD Sneaker Into A Smart Shoe The Generates Power

The average human takes 7,000 steps a day, and each step generates an amount of force synonymous to body weight. A young scientist named Angelo Casimiro of the Philippines decided to transfer that energy into electricity by creating a custom sneaker that translates the everyday step into usable power. Using the Nike KDTrey5 silhouette (the shoes were exclusive to Asia), Casimiro created a “Smart Shoe” that collects energy and uses it to power a connected device. How could this be used in the real world? Angelo says you can charge your own phone while walking. He has entered his concept into Google’s 2014 Science Fair and although any sort of production is far away, it’s interesting to see young fans of KD shoes integrate some incredible science into the model. Check out the full video below for more information.

Nike LeBron 11 “Great Hall” by District Customs

nike lebron 11 great hall customs 2 Nike LeBron 11 Great Hall by District Customs

Game of Thrones¬†currently¬†sits atop the um… throne of drama television right now (take this Nike LeBron 11 custom as proof of its reign since we’ve yet to see any Mad Men referencing pairs). And what better a silhouette to reference everyone’s favorite Sunday night tradition than the current King of the NBA in LeBron James’ latest wear in this Nike LeBron 11 “Great Hall” one-off by District Customs. Referencing the interior design of the luxurious hall that holds the Iron Throne, the sneaker sees marble accents aided by bronze, gold and burgundy referencing the current ruling power in Westeros. This pair keeps things rather understated too, and won’t leave those that turn their heads at it like Oberyn Martell. With looks like these, one has to wonder how much the asking price would be. Remember, a Lanister always pays their debts. More images after the click.
