The time we faced Doom was back in 2007 when Nike Skateboarding collaborated with the multi-persona’d hip-hop veteran Daniel Dumile. Interspersed with alter egos Viktor Vaughn and King Geedorah, the emcee best known as MF Doom collaborated with myriad names highlighted by Madlib and Danger Mouse; simply put, Doom destroyed the mid-’00s. A crown jewel punctuating this brilliant period was the coveted MF Doom x Nike SB Dunk High collab, whose menacing vibes we see echoed by Jwdanklefs’ latest custom job. This ‘MF Doom’ Nike Air Max 1 nails the colorway, piping, bubbly handstyle and materials including the signature ostrich skin. This one is a 1 of 1, but Dank also did five for Marvel’s original Dr. Doom, so check out the MF Doom Air Max 1 in greater detail below and stay tuned for more shortly.

There have been but a select few Air Yeezy 2s made into custom colorways; the shoe is just too valuable to tinker with on a wider scale. Yeezy-inspired customs are considerably more prevalent and will continue so long as strong efforts like this are still out there to be captured. Ammo Skunk and Sewnupsoles teamed up to give the Air Jordan IV a Yeezy 2 makeover, including midfoot strap, python skin sides, molded heel and glow in the dark soles. Let us know how these compare to the earlier attempts at AJ4 x Yeezy 2, and stick with Sneaker News for the latest customs.

If you’re not a Zig Zag user and Raw papers are more your thing, then this Sab-One custom is for you. The pair uses the Air Jordan 1 as its base and slaps on a crisp brown colorway inspired by your favorite organic papers for do-it-yourself “cigarette” making. The pair even gets the hemp fiber aspect in there via the rugged looking laces. We’ve seen Nike SB come with some 4/20 nods from time to time, but we all know that Jordan Brand is never going to take it that far so we’re glad to see a custom creaiton fill the void. Reconvene after the jump to see extra shots of the Air Jordan 1 “Raw” customs and tell us how dope these are in the comments.

Foamposite fans would love for Nike to head to outer space with the shoes once again, but with no immediate plans for a Galaxy Part 2 to go down, we’ll have to settle for other creative customizers to meet the demand. Rocket Boy Nift’s Nike Air Foamposite One “E.T. Foam Home” hits close to home, as he uses the memorable sunset in the forest landscape from Steven Spielberg’s E.T. film on the upper of the shoe and adds a glow-in-the-dark outsole in the process. We’ve got a gallery of photos to look at below, so give them a review and bid on a pair now from niftnif1990 on eBay.

Python-skin extraordinaire JBF Customs went on a slightly different route for his latest custom, creating a “Venetto” Air Jordan 1 inspired by the Air Jordan VII “Bordeaux” and the Nike LeBron X “Cork”. Rife with luxurious details like burgundy leather and genuine cork supplied by a North American company with over 150 years in the field, JBF’s Air Jordan 1 “Venetto” is yet another impressive masterpiece from his portfolio, but this time around, he got a little help from Regularolty, who had the custom “Incomparable” wooden box made.
