Countless sneakers draw their inspiration from TV shows and events, so it’s something of a surprise that the above pictured pair has come along and cornered the market on test pattern perfection. How is it possible that we made it this far into the themed sneaker landscape and have only just now seen a design like the DC Admiral ‘Please Stand By’? These joints are a perfect footwear representation of a few ubiquitous TV aesthetics, from the staticky ankle details to a colorful grid on the sockliner and moniker phrase on the translucent soles. Click below to tune in a better view and look for these today at select DC LIFE accounts like Atlanta’s Standard.

DC Shoes is known for their outlandish designs, be it the chunky tech-oriented skate kicks or the lifestyle side of things. This new pair is no exception, a wild hightop design, known as the Royal, from DC team rider Rob Dyrdek. The extra high-cut shoe sports a massively padded ankle that closes via velcro strap. As if that weren’t enough, the woven canvas sections are framed in shiny black patent leather for a look that demands your attention. Click the jump below for more shots and grab these from select DC LIFE retailers like Atlanta’s Standard.

Soulja Boy paid a visit to BET’s 106 & Park last week to promote his third studio album, Dre, which is due out on October 5th. He showed up wearing a preppy outfit matched with a pair of White DC Admiral sneakers that were a part of the DC Life Collection. While Soulja Boy’s kicks were pretty tame for us at Sneaker News, we were definitely impressed with the Motorsports Air Jordan VI that Terrance J. wore during the show. It seems that more often times than not when one rapper or another visits 106 & park, Terrance’s kick game is always better. The last time Drake visited 106 & Park, Terrance was rocking a pair of Air Yeezy’s! Check out more pictures from Soulja Boy’s visit after the jump…

After unveiling a series of collaborations early in 2010, DC Shoes has been relatively quiet for the rest of this year. If they were putting in work, it surely paid off, as a new silhouette from the DC Life collection is one of the nicest lifestyle sneakers we’ve seen all year. The new DC Shoes Cadet Chukka combines the familiar eye plackets you’d find on any good chukka with a plimsoll-like toe on a two-tone design to capture pretty much everything that’s hot right now with casual sneakers. There’s also a similarly hewn Sector 7 TXSE lowtop, and both should hit select DC Life retailers shortly. via HS

DC Shoes LIFE Collection is anchored by the appropriately named Admiral hightop. It’s been a staple for the past couple years, so DC has decided to add a little twist. Set to be unveiled at a public event at ProbusNYC, the DC Shoes Admiral Sport will debut in its ‘Probot’ pack with the new ankle strap. That’s probably the first thing you’ll notice, but a closer look reveals a revamped silhouette that’s all at once brand new and totally beholden to the Admiral. If you’re in the area, head over to Probus tomorrow, Thursday, March 18th at 7pm.

Nike and Jordan Brand have been using a new shade called ‘Marine Blue’ lately. It’s halfway between sapphire and turquoise, but that doesn’t mean all ‘Maritime’ shades are quite as bright. That’s the name DC Shoes has given to these navy blue Admiral hightops. The tonal design incorporates leathers of varying degress of tumbled-ness, which is quite a bit more subdued than the recently released violet/fire Admirals. NATIONAL FOREST’s ‘Indigenous Modern’ pattern is back on the lining and finishes these off quite nicely. You can find them at DC Shoes‘ website.

Ken Block is a name famous to most rally racing fans, but around these parts, he’d be better known as co-founder of DC Shoes. Here’s a new pack that popped up at the Las Vegas Project show. Inspired by Ken’s rally career and designed by artist Huck Gee, this pack of DCs contains four ’43′-adorned sneakers. Expect the black ‘murdered-out’ edition pictured above along with a ‘drippy’ version that adds neon hits and takes its design cues from a recent Ken Block x Ford Fiesta. via HS
