Mache was apparently commissioned for two separate custom colorways of the Li-Ning Way of Wade by Dwyane Wade. Shown here is the second of the two, the ‘Gradient Peel’ version that is a bit more abstract in its colorway. The white overlay is meant to represent D-Wade’s smooth demeanor, whereas the peeled back colorful madness below stands for his depth and unpredictability while on the court. Get more of the Li-Ning Way of Wade ‘Gradient Peel’ from Mache after the jump and tell us in the comments if you’d like to see these kind of off-the-wall looks on the sneaker when it finally does arrive at retail.

Following up on his ‘Ironman’ inspired work for LeBron James, Mache has now whipped up a ‘War Machine’ look for teammate Dwyane Wade on his Li-Ning Way of Wade signature sneaker. The shoe sports the same gunmetal grey as the armored suit of that Marvel character, and even puts on a paneled look for the upper to complete the inspiration. Stay tuned after the jump for more on the Li-Ning Way of Wade ‘War Machine’ pair from Mache and let us know in the comments if you’re among the heads out there eagerly awaiting the retail release of D-Wade‘s new silhouette.

Is this just another run-of-the-mill weekend recap of NBA Feet? Definitely not your average, because the last three days were rather eventful in the world of sneakers, starting off with John Wall’s official on-court debut of the adidas CrazyQuick Basketball. DeAndre Jordan pulled off what might be the Dunk of the year while wearing the UA top-selling Micro G Spine, Kenyon Martin got some nice minutes for the undermanned Knicks while switching the Blue Knicks Spiz’ikes and the Fontay Montanas, Kobe wore a fan-designed Kobe 8 iD, Deron Williams set an NBA record while wearing a camo PE of the Hyperdisruptor (he wore another version on Sunday), and LeBron wore an Area 72-inspired PE of the LeBron X. Retros were key as well, with Arnett Moultrie of the Sixers rocking the Aqua VIII, Rudy Gay presenting the Black/Cement III, and Derrick Williams showing off the Redwood Air Jordan XIV. Peep the gallery below, and stay tuned for more NBA Feet as the season winds down.

On Friday, Sneaker News showed you the interesting ‘Carmex’ colorway of the Nike LeBron X – a unique color-combo that was seemingly inspired by the brand known for lip balm and other products. LeBron came through by wearing the special Yellow-based colorway against the Knicks on Sunday before swapping out to another Black/Red/White PE en route to a convincing victory against their biggest East rival. Other notable shoes spotted around the league includes Kevin Durant’s Nike KD V, which uses the crazy iD graphic on the upper, Nate Robinson’s Air Jordan V ‘Raging Bull’, Gerald Wallace’s Air Jordan XIII ‘He Got Game’, David West’s sick Nike Hyperposite PE, and Kawhi Leonard’s Air Jordan III Retro ’88. As usual, we’ve got a thorough recap below, so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more NBA Feet coverage as we near the Playoffs.

The NBA sneaker scene is no longer a realm run by sig-shoe stars like LeBron and Kobe, but by the true hobbyists detailed in our recent NBA Feet Mid-season All-Stars. A good number of them showed off some great shoes over the last two nights, starting with Monta Ellis and the Air Jordan IX ‘Charcoal’, Nate Robinson and the Air Jordan XII ‘Taxi’, Derrick Williams in the Air Jordan XIV ‘UNC’, and Rudy Guy in the Air Jordan V and Air Jordan XI. The top sighting of the last two nights has to go to PJ Tucker, who kept it ‘Home’ by wearing the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Suns’. An impressive NBA Feet is just below so browse through and let us know who impressed you the most.

The Way of Wade is headed for its first-ever appearance in the NBA Playoffs when the Miami Heat (barring an unlikely collapse) will enter the postseason as one of the East’s top seeds later this season. The colorways we’ve seen have been impressive thus far, with Wade showing off a hot pink colorway in his latest on-feet POV from his Instagram photos, but looking a bit ahead of the Playoffs and potential Finals re-appearance, Wade is targeting the off-season with the low-top version of his Li-Ning Way of Wade. Here’s another gallery of photos (it’s been over a month since we last saw them) so check out the angles below and stay tuned for release info.

The yearly cycle of special edition footwear continues for Dwyane Wade’s Li-Ning Way of Wade as we get a first on-feet look of a special Pink/Black/White colorway that is arranged presumably for the Breast Cancer Awareness cause. NBA players have taken some extra steps in honoring the women who have been burdened with the disease (Kevin Love, for one, who went with the baldy look last October), and soon enough you’ll see a league-wide wave of pink kicks on the NBA court when the league officially recognizes the charitable mission. Check out a full on-feet shot of the Li-Ning Way of Wade in pink below and stay tuned for more potential updates on this flashy new colorway!
