It’s hard for Li-Ning to not create a ‘Bred’ colorway of the Way of Wade due to the Miami Heat team colors, but this new version flies a bit close to Air Jordan aerospace. A clear connection can be made to the ‘White/Cement’ colorway of the Air Jordan IV, with a white upper and a black-on-grey speckled midsole being the culprit of this comparison between Way of Wade and AJIV. Is a honorary colorway such as this enough to bring your attention to Li-Ning, or should they opt for something a bit more original like the sick Championship colorways that Wade wore at the start of the NBA season? An end-of-the-week NBA Feet recap is upon us, and there’s a lot of heat for you to end your first full week of 2013 right! Starting off, LeBron James visited the Portland Blazers in a sick Red/Black PE of the Nike LeBron X, while Chris Bosh and LaMarcus Aldridge squared off in Hyperposite PEs. DeMar DeRozan went with the White/Red Air Jordan VI, while DeMarcus Cousins opted for the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’. Some interesting altercations went down in the NBA the last two nights – first between Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett and second between Kobe and Dwight (although the latter was more playful than heated). Amidst all the intense games, some new kicks were spotted, like Paul Millsap’s Nike LeBron X iD, Monta Ellis’ Air Jordan VI ‘Varsity Red’, and Gerald Green’s Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’. Isaiah Thomas of the Kings rocked the Kamikaze II ‘Sonics’ for the second straight game, and Kobe wore the sick Purple Gradient Kobe 8 for two straight nights. Happy New Year, NBA Feet fans! The last two days consisted of a celebration of the end of the year and the positive outlook with the ‘clean slate’ of 2013, with several NBA games going down for our entertainment. The Knicks/Blazers match-up was one to keep an eye on, as Amare Stoudemire returned to the line-up with the Hyperposite PE, J.R. Smith whipped out the Air Jordan XII ‘Cool Grey’, and Jared Jeffries rocked the Air Jordan XIII ‘Bred’ 2013 Retro. Louis Williams of the Hawks featured the Nike Zoom Soldier 6 ‘Ohio State’, and Nate Robinson continued his ‘Flu Game‘ streak while teammate Taj Gibson rocked a tonal red colorway of the adidas Rose 3. The final NBA Feet of 2012 is here – but will we go out with a bang? Nike iD has become increasingly popular this season, with guys like Jeff Green and Dion Waiters hooping with their custom-made Nike KD Vs, while Shannon Brown stays relevant in NBA Feet headlines with the Air Jordan IX ‘Cool Grey’. Gerald Green of the Pacers switches up from his usual Jordan rotation with the Nike Zoom Flight 95 ‘Jason Kidd Career Pack’, while Jason Terry opts for the New Year’s Eve colorway of the Reebok Question. If you needed to keep warm during the winter holiday of Christmas, all you needed was a full-on NBA marathon! Five crucial games were on schedule yesterday, and with teams like the Heat, Lakers, Thunder, Celtics, and more ready to hoop, we were definitely in store for some great NBA Feet sightings! The Lakers/Knicks match-up didn’t disappoint as Kobe rocked the Nike Kobe 8 ‘Christmas’, Darius Morris whipped out the Grinches, and Carmelo unveiled his new Jordan Melo M9 in the ‘White Christmas’ colorway. The Finals re-match of the Heat/Thunder stepped it up with Westbrook’s Air Jordan XX ‘Blue Camo’, Ray Allen’s Air Jordan PEs, and LeBron’s Nike LeBron X ‘Christmas’.
Rajon Rondo, this season’s front-runner for NBA Feet Champion, revealed a sick PE colorway of the Nike Hyperposite, while teammate Jared Sullinger went with the Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’ and Jason Terry rocked the Reebok Question ‘New Years Eve’. The final game of the night was a Western Conference showdown between the Nuggets and Clippers, during which Chris Paul wore the Jordan CP3.VI ‘White Christmas’ and Blake Griffin went with a Jordan Super.Fly. Li-Ning continues to do things right with their freshly inked Dwyane Wade partnership, with the latest move being a Christmas special for the upcoming Li-Ning Way of Wade sneaker. The pair, still at player exclusive at this point, is a crispy red and green affair that will likely hit the hardwood for tomorrow’s colossal Christmas day match between the Heat and the Thunder. Wade was spotted out in the sneakers while doing a little bit of charity work, proving that they look pretty good even off the basketball court.
