Nike 2012 Pro Bowl Pack – Available on eBay

With Nike well on their way to taking over the outfitting contracts for the NFL, you can expect the realm of Football related PE’s to get a lot deeper in the future. A quick taste of that was the Nike 2012 Pro Bowl Pack, a trio of trainers that didn’t find their way onto the field of Aloha Stadium but were quite a treat for the involved players nonetheless. With the Nike Trainer 1.3 Max Breathe, the Nike Free Trainer 5.0, and a slick colorway of the Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse all included, it was the kind of pack that likely would have been snapped up pretty quickly in the event of a retail release. And while that didn’t go down you still have a chance at grabbing a pair, as the full set is up for grabs on eBay now. Air Jordan XI ‘University Blue’

This past week was a major treat for Air Jordan XI fans, as we got a clear confirmation of the release of the Columbia XI and received a nice treat in the form of the Air Jordan XI ‘Blackout’. Here’s a look at yet another piece of Air Jordan XI greatness – the University Blue/Black-White sample; much like the Air Jordan X sample we showed you yesterday, this sample features a tonal University Blue upper with a White Jumpman logo on the heel and a black mesh-weave inner lining. Curiously enough, these are dated as Spring 2010, while the Air Jordan X sample was due in Spring of 2008. Additionally, you may attribute these to the Pantone 284 Collection that was on display at the Jordan Brand ‘For The Love Of The Game’ pop-up exhibit in Harlem during 2010′s World Basketball Festival, but these do not feature the laser-graphic upper (but instead a leather material seen on the Cool Grey XI). Air Jordan X ‘History of Flight’ – Available on eBay

Maybe we should start calling these the ‘Right Now Before It’s Too Late of Flight’, because if you don’t act quickly, these are indeed going to be history. Right as we’ve started to see preview images of a similarly-colored take on the Air Jordan XI low, the ultra exclusive promo samples curated as part of the ‘History of Flight’ touring exhibition have made their way onto the secondary market. The Air Jordan X pictured above follows the IV, VII, VIII, XII and XIV in leaking from the supremely limited ‘History of Flight’ AJ SMUs, and these offer an interesting contrast when compared to the ‘Chicago’ OG that is arguably 2012′s single biggest sneaker release to date. A colorway like this would produce an instant sellout at retail, but do you have the resources necessary to procure this particular pair before the close of this extended auction from btn_16 on eBay?

Air Jordan X – University Blue – White | Sample

With the Air Jordan X trending so heavily these days, it’s only fitting that this sick sample surfaces today. Tomorrow will be the release of the Old Royal Air Jordan X, but our focus right now is on another pair of blue/white Air Jordan X – namely this University Blue and White sample. Many will quickly re-direct their attention to the Air Jordan Pantone 284 Collection that made headlines in 2010 when the Air Jordan celebrated its silver anniversary, but this sample is actually dated for Spring 2008, a year in which the Air Jordan celebrated a more significant milestone – the 23rd Anniversary. So could the Pantone Collection have been created in 2008, only to surface two years later? In any case, this sample is indeed different from that set as it does not feature the signature laser graphic on the upper. Air Jordan XI ‘Blackout’

Just when you thought you saw it all – the PEs, the one-of-ones, the Team Exclusives that we’ve featured on Sneaker News time and time again – this majestic sample pops up at the height of Air Jordan XI superstardom. We’ll give you a second to wipe the drool off your chin. This Air Jordan XI ‘Blackout’ sample features a full-black exterior, with black patent leather, a black mesh upper, black leather heel, and more interesting, the black midsole – something we’ve never seen on an Air Jordan XI until the women’s IE Low release of 2007. This blackout sample is definitely more ‘Batmobile’ than it is ‘Lawnmower’, exuding a sneaker sex appeal that’ll have the sneakerhead circles buzzing and uplifting excitement once again, acting as ‘yang’ to the Silver Anniversary’s ‘yin’. Will these release? Based on the shoetag, it appears that these were destined for a Holiday 2010 release (possibly a Black Friday release), but for now, there doesn’t seem to be any plans for arrival. Nike Zoom Kobe VI – Georgetown PE

The Kobe VI has been praised as one of the most comfortable (if not the single most comfortable) shoe on the market last year, finding its way on the feet of college and NBA players worldwide. Even Georgetown University, a Jordan Brand outfitted school, ‘bent’ the rules by allowing this PE to come to light! The entire squad is laced up in Jumpman gear, but the Kobe VI is such a comfortable high-performance shoe that the equipment directors decided to ‘turn the other way’. Of course, on-court performance is the highest priority, so if a player deems the Kobe VI as the shoe to bring out his best, there’s no reason to not let that go down. The Georgetown PE colorway features a the basic two-toned grey-on-navy around the shoe with a white detailing on the swoosh and logo on the tongue for the classic Hoya look. Air Jordan VIII ‘History Of Flight’ – Available on eBay

The Air Jordan ‘History Of Flight’ Collection was a depiction, by way of footwear, of Michael Jordan’s illustrious career and trail-blazing iconism of the shoe game. Placed on display at select Niketown locations around the glove, the Air Jordan ‘History Of Flight’ capitalized on the trademark White/Red colorway made famous by Michael by re-creating every Air Jordan in that colorway. Next up in our mini-feature of the History Of Flight is the Air Jordan VIII, so let’s think back to one of Michael’s most famous moments in the Air Jordan VIII; in Game 6 of the ’93 NBA Finals, Michael, who was expected to take the final shot of the game, passed the ball along to a wide-open John Paxson, who hit the series-winning 3-pointer. Michael, of course, went on to be the greatest player of all-time, while John Paxson continued his Bulls tenure as part of upper management, creating yet another championship attitude behind Derrick Rose and the Bulls.
