Nike Air Flightposite Kevin Garnett The Future PE

One intense NBA rivalry that has coole down a bit over the last few years has been the feud between future Hall of Fame big men Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs and Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics. Both were tagged by Nike early on in their careers and were even featured together in one of the more memorable Nike basketball adverts ever (Kevin Garnett taking on the world in a game of pick-up ball), so while their careers were destined for similar paths of greatness, the two couldn’t have been farther from each other in every other aspect outside of the game. Duncan made his presence known with his silent charisma, while KG is noted for his notorious in-game trash-talking sparked by an intense flame fanned by the spirit of competition, and because both have stayed true to the fundamentals of the game, both continue to be forces to be reckoned with.

Perhaps this June, NBA fans could be in for one final showdown between Duncan and KG, and it’ll certainly be one to watch because KG and Duncan, quite frankly, simply don’t like being around one another. Going back to KG’s Nike’s roots – the 6’11″ forward was outfitted with the Air Flightposite line (which later became associated with his name), and today we get a look at one of the rarest PEs of the era –  a Black/White colorway with KG’s initials on the ‘tongue’ and ‘The Future’ labeled on the heel-tabs. So: Flightposite, or Total Foamposite Max? Which Foam-based shoe made for the two most dominant big-men of our generation is more treasured? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to check out the gallery of this rare PE before you head on over to the listing from masauction on eBay.

Nike SB Dunk High Beer Bottle Pack on eBay

2012′s been filled with ups and downs for Nike SB. News of the eventual merging of all the Action Sports product lines into one label could remove ‘SB’ for good (with the exception of the heritage models), and a lack of the ever-so-popular ’4/20′ Dunk release had SB fans worried that the end of SB could come sooner than later. But looking back, it’s been a fairly strong line-up thus far; the ‘Nontourage’ and Premier ‘Petosky’ collaborations breathed some extra life into the Dunk, and the ‘Beer Bottle Pack’ Quickstrikes had us excited about the SB Dunk High for good reason. Not much more has been made about the Beer Bottle Pack after it released overseas (a true Quickstrike), but hopefuly the the Pack will round out to an even six (any suggestions of what international brews should finish off the set?). If you missed out on both pairs, these have just popped up for sale; we’d like to point out that these are not an official set, but you can cop both with ease right now by copping this size 9.5 set from wujekmisiek on eBay.

Nike Air Max Flyposite Black/Metallic Silver Available Early on eBay

Its peak years having come and gone well before Nike was ready to roll out their exclusive license for NFL gear, the Zoom Flyposite cleat will be resurrected for the holiday season in a new, considerably more street-friendly form. Gone are the twelve spikes that once dotted the Zoom-cushioned Phylon midsole and in its place is a full-length Max Air bag that gives rise to the Nike Air Max Flyposite both in name and in essence. Pictured above is a Metallic Silver and black edition whose closest relative in the Nike Sportswear catalog might be last year’s first Air Force 1 High Foamposite, a colorway slated to drop in December just in time for the Christmas shopping season. That home stretch of 2012 is shaping up to be the most difficult period in history when it comes to budget decisions, so why not get ahead of the curve and grab these six months early thanks to skit_japan on eBay.

Air Jordan AJKO OG Black/Red Pair on eBay

The Air Jordan AJKO goes deep in to the Air Jordan catalog – perhaps a bit too deep for the younger generation to truly appreciate the shoe. But despite a twenty-five year absence, the 2010 Retro releases did rather well and was considered by the Sneaker News staff to be one of the best releases of that year. In just a few short weeks, Jordan Brand will hit us with some more AJKOs – one of which is the return of the OG Black/Red colorway; of course, this OG pair we spotted has been put through the test of time and wear, but it’s still neat to see a shoe nearly three decades old still standing tall! Check out the images of this OG gem below and join in on the bidding by visiting the auction from tomctex on eBay.

Air Jordan XII Richard Hamilton Rip City PE

It wouldn’t be too presumptuous to state that the Air Jordan XII is the ‘easiest’ to color-block, given the shoe has a rather simplistic build compared to other Air Jordans in the legacy. That’s probably why the Air Jordan XII has such a vast PE library, with this ‘Rip City’ joint just being another on the impressive list; this, of course, was made for one of Jordan Brand’s earliest ambassadors in Richard Hamilton, who cultivated the ‘Rip’ moniker in UConn and later won an NBA Title with the Detroit Pistons in one of the biggest ‘upsets’ in the NBA history. More of Rip’s XII PE after the jump, so take a look and check out the full listing from lo-life_rasta on eBay.

Nike Air Penny V Miami Available Early on eBay

Here’s an interesting thought: is there anyone in the NBA that should act as an ambassador to the Air Penny line, much like how Dwyane Wade continued the Air Jordan legacy until he gained his own signature shoe? There aren’t too many players that have Penny’s game, which can best be described as an amalgam of point guard instinct, shooting guard scoring, and small forward athleticism. It would be quite the surprising move if Nike created take-down Air Penny models and seeded them out to its Nike athletes, so who do you think would be on ‘Team Penny’? We’re certain the Air Penny V will be a popular go-to model once the 2012-13 NBA Season starts, so here’s another detailed look at the ‘Miami’ Penny V, with the opportunity to cop half a year in advance from skit_japan on eBay.

Air Jordan X Michael Jordan Black/Red PE Cleats

Michael Jordan doesn’t like to fail. In fact, he’s recited one of the most inspiring speeches on ‘failure’ in a memorable Air Jordan commericial years back, and how his failures has led to his many successes. One thing he learned about being an average-at-best baseball player was to get back on the NBA court, and although MJ would’ve loved another shot to redeem himself, the lockout didn’t allow him that opportunity and instead MJ went on the pedestrian route and tallied a mere threepeat from ’96 to ’98. Here we have a look at one of the rarer pieces of the Air Jordan pool – a Black/Red PE made just for Jordan on the diamond; with three great Air Jordan X Retros having just passed us, how sick would an all-leather colorway just like this one be? A ‘reverse’ Chicago of sorts? Check out the extra shots below and let us know what you’d think of such a concept, and see the entire listing from pdarmos on eBay.
