With Gary Payton’s name on deck to be the next household name in Retro kicks, why not take a look back at some of the highlights of his sneaker career? “The Glove” is known for his short yet influential stint with Nike in the late-90s and early-2000s, but his time as a Jordan Brand athlete is generally overlooked, although we do show an occasional GP PE from time to time. This Air Jordan XIX was made for Payton while he was with the Lakers (the team that was supposed to win the Title) and intended to be an All-Star PE, but Payton was left out of the 2004 team. Are you excited for the comeback of “The Glove” signature line? Let us know in the comments area and check out this rare PE from 4-quarters on eBay.

How long will it be till we finally get another “Motorsports” flavored Air Jordan retro release? The coveted Air Jordan VI “Motorsports” from a few years back was the last of its kind. It was also one of the most accessible ones since there was an actual retail release. Ending up pretty high on the hierarchy for pairs that didn’t is this, the seldom seen Air Jordan V “Motorsports”. The pair is a clean white/university blue affair, and is oddly labeled as a “Jordan Collezione 5″ on the insides. Stick with us after the jump to get all the angles and then take a look at the price on this super rare Air Jordan V from depeche23mode on eBay.

All the LeBron chatter has been around the Nike LeBron X Elite, with some notable focus going on the Nike LeBron X Elite iD priced up to a whopping $390 before applicable fees. That’s slowly creeping up to prices of unreleased samples and PEs, but at the same time, the heightened prices of Nike LeBrons have only driven up the asking prices of these unreleased specialties. Take the “Volt Dunkman” sample of the Nike LeBron 9 Elite, which continues to pop its head up sporadically; while the colorway is something sneakerheads would’ve loved to see on store shelves, the asking price for these gems have gone up considerably since we first showed them off some time ago. In any case, if you have the money to burn or would like to see what the price is, see the listingĀ from zwchiti on eBay.

The Holiday 2012 season saw enough Air Jordan IX releases to last the next decade, but it appears that Jordan Brand might have had another one up its sleeve as we get a first look at an unreleased colorway. Intended for a Holiday 2012 release, this Air Jordan IX Retro combines Black, Mesa Orange, and Dark Grey in a nubuck upper for a rather clean color-combo that we’ve never seen on an Air Jordan Retro. While the shoe is a predominant mix of Black, Grey, and White, the hits of Mesa Orange on the heel Jumpman and the badges on the heel give these Retros a really nice color-profile, but the release of the “Cool Grey” probably made these a bit too redundant. We’ve got a first look before so check out this unreleased sample below and see the full listing from jordunk23 on eBay.

It’s not likely that Nike will ever stop giving back to the University of Oregon, as the school remains an important part of the Swoosh story both historically and presently. Their football squad currently plays the guinea pig of sorts for awesome new uniform kits and PE pairs. The Nike Zoom Revis is one of those pairs, an NFL sig trainer that we’ve seen outfitted with a couple of different “Ducks” looks so far. This time around we get another glance at the design, which features green and yellow touches, a bit of “O” embroidery, and their “Win the Day” slogan. See more below and then check out the price tag on this Nike Zoom Revis “Oregon” version from hsong893 on eBay.

This year’s All-Star Weekend release of the Nike Barkley Posite Max “Area 72″ was one of the highlights of February, with a special in-store release event at the Houston Galleria Mall with Nike designer Marc Dolce being a nice cherry on top. For a lucky few, Marc stuck around and autographed some of the boxes for those who copped the Area 72 releases, with some added illustrations and sketches of the shoes as well as the Raygun logo. It’s definitely a step ahead of the basic autographed shoebox, making this pair quite a rarity for an already highly-coveted shoe. Check out the photos of the autographed and illustrated box below, and if interested, check out the listing from jgskicks on eBay.

EXT models, Elites, Elite iDs…being on top of the LeBron game is an expensive hobby! Luckily, the Nike LeBron X EXT releases have been postponed indefinitely, but we’re still getting a look at some new colorways, like this Black Nubuck version that showed you earlier. Paired with a cool mint on the Zoom bag and Dynamic Flywire, this Black/Mint colorway definitely has that high-end look thanks to the “Tiffany”-esque approach that we often move in whenever we see colorways similar to this! Check out the photos below because these may never even release, and join in on the bidding action from authentickicks310 on eBay.

We’re pretty sure that the Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski is picking up plenty of new fans in 2013. That can be attributed to the likes of talked about pairs like the “Lemon Twist” and the “Digi Floral Camo”, two that have proved once again that this new-era Nike SB silhouette can be a sellout success given the right colors. What may end up in the same vein is this, a version that combines an an all-over pink foil upper with a cleanly blocked white outsole. Stay with us after the jump for a full gallery of photos on this “Pink Foil” Nike Stefan Janoski and then check out this early sample from madsolar on eBay.
