Converse 1Hund(Red), adidas Consortium AZX, Pump20. All of these are extended collaborations that tell you just how many creative inputs and sneakers to expect, and you can add NIKE78 to the list. As I’m sure you’ve guessed already, this project is centered around getting 78 visionaries in and around the UK to design their own Nike sfor display at the London Design Festival 2010. Hanon x Call of the Wild x 6876 – VCMP Project – Reebok Stomper

There was a Reebok Reverse Jam created to commemorate the Sneakerology 101 class at Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Mellon University, but their latest collab is possibly the most intellectually demanding concept for a sneaker, ever. In fact, yours truly has bachelor’s degrees in psychology and philosophy, and I’m flummoxed by this one.

Our British readers know that CCTV cameras watch pretty much everything you do in the UK, and the massive proliferation of internet technology has some people using the word ‘Orwellian’ far too frequently. But there is a very complex issue of human freedom here, and the Visual Countermeasures Project is reaching out to sneakerheads with this Reebok Stomper. A mere 60 pairs of the reflective 3M Scotchlite uppers will release on Feburary 25th to help bring attention to the VCMP’s cause and their film Every Step You Take. via HS

Nike Air Classic BW – Dark Grey – White – Cool Grey

The Nike Air Classic BW is a certified cult hit amongst sneakerheads; the average passerby may notice more attention-grabbing kicks like the Air Max 95, but the BW holds just as much, if not more significance in the Air Max Line. The Persia Nike BW, U.S. Olympic BW, and the Stash x Nike BW stands as three bonafide blockbusters, and the re-release of the Nike BW definitely earned praise from shoeheads everywhere. This latest colourway utilizes two tones of grey, and is set off by a white swoosh. Yes, there are mesh toeboxes! These look to be a Euro exclusive for now, but you can still grab yours from JDsports.

Nike Air Max 95 – Metallic Snakeskin – Available

What happens when you reverse the Nike Air Max 95’s signature grey-dient? We’ve seen that reversed look before, and if you add some metallic snakeskin, you get these. The latest Ninety-Fives are a simple white/grey/black affair, but they’re anything but plain, thanks to two metallic snakeskin tiers. Now, the ridged side panels already give some visual depth, but with the snakeskin print, these are downright eye-catching. Grab a pair of these Euro-exclusives from Sweden’s Shelta.

Patta x Nike Air Max 1 – White – Grand Purple – Available on eBay

This past December, Amsterdam-based sneaker shop Patta teamed up with Nike to produce four great colourways of the Nike Air Max 1. Each colourway utilized a different colored denim on the outsole and a miniature swoosh on the outer toe, similar to the popular Safari and Viotech Air Max 1. Of the four colourways, the purple denim and black denim Quickstrike colourways never reached a stateside release, and our knuckles have been left cramped and sore from crossing our fingers. For now, a US release seems bleak, but Sneaker News fell upon a size 8 of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Purple. You can grab yours from kevs020 on eBay, but prepare to pay a hefty price.

Solebox x Lacoste 10789 Boots – New Photos

So the thing about leaking pics of a sneaker that only has one name on it is that, it’s only natural to assume that’s the company who made the sneakers. Such is the case with Solebox, who pulled the ol’ switcheroo on teh internets by revealing that their upcoming 10789 Boot is not an in-house design. In fact, it’s a collaboration with OG French sportswear legends, Lacoste. Both the black/teal and tan/blue will hit in Solebox’s typical, yet infuriatingly-limited style: only 30 pairs of each colourway are set to release at the Berlin location later this month. via HB

StudioAnti + Washio Tomoyuki x Onitsuka Tiger – Cat Pack

There are a bunch of cool sneakers for the Year of the Tiger that begins on February 14, 2010, but what about the odd (animal) out on that 12 year cycle? Legend has it, the cat came in last in the Jade Emperor’s race after the rat pushed him into a river, and that’s why they’ve been enemies ever since. Asics got together with a couple of Japanese stylemakers to make sure cat gets his due.

Enter the Asics x StudioAnti and Washio Tomoyuki ‘Cat Pack’. It’s a straightforward name that pretty well matches StudioAnti’s simple tonal brown pair of X-Caliber runners, while the Tomoyuki-designed white pair has a lively sketching drawn over the entire silhouette. Fluff x Nike SB – Fluff SB Launch Event Recap

Fluff not only nailed their Nike SB Zoom Bruin collaboration, but they perfectly translated their name to its release party. Held at the Nike SB pop-up shop in Barcelona, Spain that’s managed by local boutique Trust Nobody, the party showed off the upcoming Fluff book in an all white room that probably resembles living on a cloud. Back on earth, people were chillin with good music, enjoying the skateboarding-themed photography exhibit and eating tapas to celebrate the Bruin drop. Though we still miss the good ol’ days at the 255 Nike iD Studio on Elizabeth Street in New York, it seems the iD division has really made strides to be commended by even the stubborn of Nike purists. Bespoke has been creating some dope pairs at 21 Mercer, and the new speckle and safari options on the iD site seem to be so appealing, they were put on backorder within hours of being available online. Major Zurich retailer, Grand, now has an exclusive iD Studio on location for a limited period of time. Like all iD locations, a design consultant will assist you in creating a dope pair of Air Max 90, Cortez, Dunk High and Low, Air Max 95, Air Classic, Vandal Low, Air Stab, Blazer High, Air Force 1, Air Max 1 and limited Air Max 90 Current. There will also be some extra custom options available only at the Grand iD Studio. If your able to get to the Switzerland area, act fast and reserve your appointment.

Swarovski x Colette x adidas JS Wings

Few have both the balls and swag necessary to out-flamboyant Jeremy Scott. The world-famous fashion designer clearly watched alot of ‘Another World’ and his designs for adidas Originals have been heavily decked out in ‘African’ patterns of late. What first drew our attention to his collabo with the Three Stripes, though, was the insane JS Wings model.

So back to ‘even more flamboyant than J.Scott’: Swarovski (you know, the crystals in those skull sculptures) crystals cover this white edition of the JS Wings, a Paresian exclusive only available from colette. They’re part of a larger Christmas exhibition at colette’s flagship, and oh yeah, you can also buy them for €2500.00.
