Sneaker News took you back to 2005 for a handful of Nike SB Dunk Lows for last week’s Classics Revisited series and today we see that one of those famed collaborators has again teamed up with Nike, Inc.  Instead of the Swoosh, this time it’s the One Star as the Slam City x Converse CTS Mid and Ox come through with red-accented black/white builds.  These relatively simple styles add Slam City branding to the footbeds and aglets, and are limited to just 300 pairs each worldwide.  They don’t have the wearaway suede that made those ’05 Dunk Low Pro SBs so unique but we all know how beautifully Chuck Taylors age with time, so act fast to get yours straight from Slam City Skates before they’re all gone.

Following up on our look at an Elephant-mudguarded edition comes another EU-exclusive Nike Air Max 90 carrying a classic Swoosh pattern along the midsoles.  Featuring a range of greys across the suede and mesh, Athletic Blue on the Swooshes and Air bubble support columns, these AM90s reach back three years to pick up the Safari print we’ve seen on several styles celebrating the Air Safari’s 25th anniversary year.  Taken with the aforementioned style, this new pack is something like a breakout of the legendary atmos Air Max 1, albeit with some extra variety from this pair’s ostrich-inspired spotting, and you can choose for yourself which pair you like better if you’re within range of a Foot Locker Europe location.

Nike Air Max 97 “Italy”

nike air max 97 italy 1 Nike Air Max 97 Italy

Italy is responsible for arguably the most stunning pair of Nike Air Max 97s ever released, a luxurious leather build limited to just under 1700 pairs.  This latest AM97 release is constructed in a somewhat more familiar form mixing patent leather and mesh, but its tri-striped tongue and heel loops pull the black/white design toward the Mediterranean boot-shaped country with equal parts red, white and green.  These aren’t individually numbered but figure to still be a tough cop for US sneakerheads as a Foot Locker Europe exclusive, so have a closer look below and let us know if you’re able to import a pair.

New Nike Air Max 95s continue a strong start to the fourth quarter, this latest drop an exclusive to one of Europe’s best-loved boutiques in one of their favorite color palettes.  JD Sports is synonymous with black/blue Air Max 95s and this latest adds healthy portions of grey in the middle, albeit in a ‘reverse’ gradient featuring a single glossy strip just below the top mesh tier.  JD has mastered these unique striping options to give their Ninety Fives a distinctive vibe you can sense without any cross-branding, and you can see more angles after the jump.

Nike Sportswear “Zebra Pack”

nsw zebra pack 6 Nike Sportswear Zebra Pack

Nike Sportswear has been a strong proponent of animal print sneakers this year, but while feline patterns have thrived, zebra stripes are considerably less common (thumbs up if you recall the ‘Daktari’ Dunk Low from a decade ago).  In fact, there have been more Air Force 1 Bespoke designs featuring the familiar black/white pattern than all other NSW drops combined, so the market is ready for a more affordable price point.  And that’s where this new Zebra Pack comes in, combining the Nike Blazer Mid with its lowtop counterpart (in VNTG form) along with the Air Vortex ’80s runner so that one pair of each goes full-zebra while the other just stripes the Swooshes.  Have a closer look below so you can let us know which came out best, then grab yours exclusively at what is presumably Ricky Gervais and Steve Carell’s favorite sneaker shop, Office.

New Balance 620

new balance 620 New Balance 620

Sufficiently rare, it’s only shown up in recent years as part of a ‘Past, Present, Future’ classics-plus-updates trio, a New Balance old school runner once positioned as NB’s answer to Nike Air makes its return in that immortal suede and mesh combo.  The New Balance 620 takes us back further than the 574s and 576s that’ve been everywhere over the past ten to fifteen years, way further back than the small ‘N’ models so popular for recent collaborations, and reminds us that New Bal teamed up with Vibram for the 620′s soles before ‘collabos’ and ‘sneakerheads’ even existed.  Three tonal-plus-grey colorups await your click on the jump below, and you’ll find these at Size? starting Friday, September 21st.
