Just last week Sneaker News was glad to spread the confirmation of the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Nontourage’ release, and today we get a first look at an earlier release that was held at Kasina in South Korea. Dubbed the ‘Nontourage’ as it is wiped clean of any markings of the HBO show, the most ‘exciting’ SB Dunk of 2012 thus far coerced quite the crowd for the in-store release event, which featured numbered tickets and what appeared to be a blind lottery for the sneakers. With a limited distribution expected for this SB Dunk, the U.S. release for this sneaker will likely go down in similar fashion, so check out a quick recap of the ‘Nontourage’ release at Kasina in South Korea after the jump and we’ll let you know when these start appearing at stateside SB accounts. via IST

Converse has long been able to walk the line between playing the role of the quintessential everyman sneaker and also offering up plenty for the limited edition set. Their latest endeavor we’ve caught wind of will probably do a little more for them in the former category, as they’ve just opened their first mall-based brick and mortar space. The expansive retail spot at the Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey comes as their fourth stand alone store here in the US, with some cool in store exclusives to make the space unique, one of them being the so called ‘Ink Bar’ offering up a customizable process on-site. Hit the jump for some images of Converse’s first mall based store and let us know if you’re planning a trip.

Did you catch the event recap of the Sneaker Freaker Swap Meet? It’s definitely worth a look if you want to get a look at sneaker scenes on the other side of the world, but before you head over there, check out another event on the Eastern Hemisphere – the Street Dreams x Sole Exposition ‘Sneaker Free Market’ in South Korea. One of the main attractions at the event was an amazing showcase of customs sneakers done by a collective called The Creakers, who completed a sick Nike Air PR1 x Air Yeezy ‘Net’ custom (complete with a glow-in-the-dark outsole and upper). Another custom worth checking out was the Air Jordan XI with the white/black zebra-like print (or like the Daktari Dunk Lows from a decade ago). Flip through the gallery below and let us know which customs you like best! Photos: IST

Todd Bratrud is a name that should ring bells to any Nike SB collector worth a salt lick, being the brains behind a handful of the more sought after collabo Dunks in recent memory. He’s been instrumental in Nike SB’s tongue in cheek ’4/20′ drops over the past couple of years, as well as other bangers like the scrapped Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Freddy Krueger’. Bratrud recently touched down in Milan for a show celebrating his work, with the range of his Nike team ups on hand along with a selection of his extra-Swoosh work. Hit the jump with us to check out the Todd Bratrud x Nike SB exhibit and let us know what your favorite Todd-helmed sneaker design is.

The Sneaker Friends traveling tour made a stop at the Time Warner Cable Arena – home of the Charlotte Bobcats. The Sneaker Friends show opened its doors to a group of sneaker-crazed locals, who brought their own special kicks and table displays, but the highlights were easily dominated by none other than the ATF Crew (and you know they bring serious heat). Tons of unreleased samples and PEs, the entire ’112′ Set by DJ Clark Kent, premium-grade Bespokes galore – it was certainly a sight to see and the perfect event for sneakerheads to get a first-hand look at some of the most coveted kicks on the planet. Check out some of the highlights from the Sneaker Friends x Charlotte Bobcats Sneaker Show 2012 after the jump and let us know what you’ve got your eyes glued on! Photos: SneakerTube.tv
