Earlier today Sneaker News gave you a firsthand look at Sneaker Con Miami that went down this past weekend. It’s been confirmed that the Fieldhouse location will no longer be the venue of choice for Sneaker Con Miami as the event will move to the basketball court of the University of Miami Hurricanes! It doesn’t really matter where the venue is because the selection of on-feet heat will always be top-notch as witnessed by all the sneakers seen below. It was another hot weekend in Miami – much in part due to Sneaker Con opening up its doors once again! This past Saturday’s event welcomed the biggest crowd ever at a Sneaker Con Miami date, with the line for tickets stretching 100-deep all day long. Inside the Fieldhouse, it was packed from wall to wall with enthusiastic sneakerheads looking to get their buy/sell/trade on, and the scene was so action-packed that Mike “The Situation” decided not to go in because he couldn’t handle the – wait for it – situation. The next Sneaker Con Miami promises to be bigger and better because a new venue is in the works (a preview is at the very last page – it’s double the size of the Fieldhouse). Some news for Sneaker Con fans who aren’t in Miami – we’re hitting Washington DC and NYC in late April and Chicago in May! Sneaker Con is ready to revisit South Beach once again for another sizzling turnout of the best kicks in one of the hottest sneaker-driven cities in the world. Join Sneaker Con tomorrow at Fieldhouse at the Bank United Center at noon, but don’t forget the special event tonight at Shoe Gallery where Sneaker Con and adidas will hold a pre-party and special release event for the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Pink Poodle. Just how big was Monday night’s in-store event at Packer Shoes with Knicks guard Iman Shumpert? Aside from 400+ sneakerheads and Knicks fans wrapping around the block in frigid weather, some major NYC-based media outlets came out to celebrate not only the release of the adidas Top Ten 2000s, but Iman’s comeback to the court. FuseTV was there to interview the Knicks sophomore who has been rocking the retro high-top fade, as were MSG, and Hot 97. This past Monday, the legendary Packer Shoes and New York Knicks phenom Iman Shumpert joined forces for a special release event for the adidas Top Ten 2000 ’2WO 1NE’. Limited to just 500 individual pairs, over 400 customers came through on the frigid night to cop the shoes and meet the Knicks guard in person. With live music provided by DJ Neil Armstrong, the event was a complete success, and Iman himself stayed an extra hour just to meet and greet everyone who came through to cop the shoes. Some 1,500 local youngsters, a select group of media, and the extended Jordan Brand family gathered at the snazzy Cipriani Club 55 yesterday in NYC’s financial district for the Jordan Melo M9 ‘Lock and Launch’ event. The space offered up trials wherein attendees could test out Melo’s recently debuted ninth signature sneaker, a preview of some upcoming colorways (check out the ‘Year of the Snake’ here), and a viewing session for the first two episodes in the ‘Playing for the City That Made Me’ documentary series. Towards the latter half of the evening Carmelo Anthony hit the stage for a Q&A with Knicks legend Bernard King hosted by Sway of MTV fame. Up next, the musical guests kept things focused on the Big Apple, as French Montana and Fabolous both ran through their own quick sets that had the hometown crowd in a frenzy. Sneaker Con is ready to ring in the new year of exciting happenings as the world’s greatest sneaker buy/sell/trade event hits Miami on February 2nd. After this past Saturday’s showing in Atlanta, Sneaker Con returns to South Beach for a fourth overall date, bringing together the sneaker community after a year’s worth of amazing releases. One New Years resolution we support is to “cop more kicks”, and there’s no better place to do that at Sneaker Con! Full event info is available on the official Sneaker Con flyer.

Earlier today we showed you a nice recap of the first-ever Sneaker Con in Atlanta, GA, which went down at the Atlanta YMCA. Now that you’ve gotten a grip on the general atmosphere of the event, it’s time to lower your line of sight down to the feet because there was a ton of heat at this event! Just based on the summary of kicks we have for you above, you know the Dirty South came through with the best it had to offer as we saw a slew of Air Jordan madness like the Black Quai 54 and the sick collection of Nike Air-branded Retros, some great LeBrons like the upcoming Cork and the Hardwood Classic VII, and a nice collection of other brands seen in the Fingercroxxx x New Balance MT580, Reebok Kamikaze II Rain Camo, and the Solebox Allergras.
