The UNDFTD x Nike “Bring Back” pack’s second installment is very nearly here. The two sneakers utilized, the Nike Hyperdunk 2012 and the Nike Dunk High, wear a set of colors that you might find a little bit more in touch with Undefeated’s military vibe than the crispy white of the first duo. The return of the Nike Dunk High is cause for celebration for those who’ve been in this thing long enough to remember ogling the original 2003 joints, and the Nike Hyperdunk serves up a rare slice of collab heat taking place on a contemporary sneaker. See both after the jump and watch for the sneakers in stores this Saturday, May 25th.

Converse is finally back together with Comme des Garcons, this time giving Rei Kawakubo’s streetwear line a handful of Converse Pro Leather silhouettes to work with. The pairs end up with quite a bit more branding than the initial go-round, with the immediately recognizable heart logo planted all across the upper on each. The group consists of four sneakers-a mid and a low for both the milk white and black variations. Continue reading for an official look at the Comme des Garçons PLAY x Converse Pro Leather Collection (Retailing from $130 to $140) and watch for them to hit DSM online and Comme des Garcons in NYC on May 28th. After that Paris and London will get a crack at them on June 2st, followed by Asian retailers who will start to stock them on June 21st.

The Air Jordan IV “Thunder” and Air Jordan IV “Lightning” pairs were a truly unique set of releases from back in August of 2006. The two shoes were up for grabs exclusively at Jumpman23.com, the official Jordan Brand website that’s now home to official images and updates on Jordan product rather than being any sort of digital storefront. Both came with a pretty sizable price tag thanks to some accompanying apparel, marking them among the highest-priced Air Jordan Retro releases ever.
The Air Jordan IV “Lightning” was packaged with an Air Jordan “Flight” style shirt, which sent the retail price up the $250. The Air Jordan IV “Thunder” managed to top even that high point thanks to the varsity jacket included, weighing in at a total of $500. The already chunky box price on the duo helped drive up the secondary market value, a value obviously also helped out by the fairly small production runs (The “Thunder” for example was just 1 of 500). The aforementioned “Thunder” has since gotten a bit easier to track down thanks to the 2012 retro, but the “Lightning” remains a pretty rare find, although rumors of a Retro release continue to tickle us to this day. For the younger hobbyists who are unaware of the story behind the “Thunder and Lightning” Pack, feast your eyes on an incredibly rare set of both pairs from shoezeum on eBay.

The Nike Kobe 8 continues to prove itself a late bloomer, with a gang of killer colorways still in the works despite Kobe having long since stopped playing for the season. The most straightforward basketball style amongst them is this, the Engineered Mesh utilizing Nike Kobe 8 “Venice Beach”. That unofficial nickname is one presumably referencing the colorful graffiti of that locale, a set that’s done justice by the streaky upper of this sneaker. Get extra angles of the Nike Kobe 8 “Venice Beach” below and then grab them from Social Status this coming weekend.
