In looking at a white and Varsity Maize Dunk High recently, we noted that their relationship to the iconic ‘Goldenrod’ getup is similar to the progression seen from Lance Armstrong’s LIVESTRONG collaborations with Nike over the years. What started as strictly black and yellow has evolved with whites, greys and the recent addition of Radio Shack reds and even a hint of green every now and again. This new Nike Free Run+ 2 adds blue to that list, keeping the LAF vibe going thanks tot the crisp white base layer and its interplay with the familiar V.Maize, even despite the preponderance of royal. The green and yellow colorway is always a popular run for Nike runners, a combo that makes sense given their heritage at the University of Oregon. The latest that comes with the ducked out look is the Nike Huarache Free 2012, a hybridized runner that takes the neoprene beauty of the OG Huarache silhouette and fits it up with the Nike Free sole. This is one of those hybrids that just makes sense, a fitting ‘what if’ moment where a couple of Nike’s best innovations are allowed to cross-pollinate. Follow us after the jump for the full look at this court green/tour yellow pair, and hit up Finishline to grab yours now as sizes are going fast.

When it’s all said and done, does anything top the simple two tone ‘BTTYS’ look for a Dunk high? We’ve seen a multitude of variations on the Dunks throughout the years but there is something to be said for the bare bones look. Anyway, we’ll let you duke that one out in the comments, but if you’re a fan of the simple combo and you have two X chromosomes then this one is for you. The lipstick red on the uppers pops up with a bit of a tumbled textured on the leather, contrasting to the smooth grey construction on the rest of the sneaker. Stick with us after the jump for some additional angles and cop this womens release now at Finishline.

These days Kobe makes a significant effort to let it be known that he’s a Nike company man, but we all remember his start in the footwear world with the Three Stripes. This year’s return of his second signature shoe with adidas, the Crazy 8 apparently had our readers reminiscing, as the 1998 NBA All-Star Game edition locked down the title of Best Adidas Release in our readers choice poll. Since you guys are checking for them, here’s a look at a new navy and gold colorway that has a bit of a Denver Nuggets feel to it. Hit the jump for a more detailed look and let us know if the adidas Crazy 8 reissue is stealing any thunder away from Kobe’s latest Swoosh product. If you like what you see, the Navy/Gold colorway can be had now at Finishline.

Nike has been tuning up the WMNS releases lately with a bit of graphic flair. First it was the metallic spiral print that showed up on both Dunks and Air Force 1′s alike, and now the Uptowns are again getting some special treatment. Here the back end features a section that comes off looking like floral camo, with a wavy grid in the namesake ‘siren red’ laying over the top. That burning shade shows up again on the outsole and the ‘Nike Air’ branding throughout, giving this sneaker quite a bit of pop. Hit the jump for the full look at cop this women’s release now at Finishline.

Lately most of the updates we’ve been giving you on Nike Free related sneakers have been on other models in the Swoosh repertoire getting the Free upgrade. You’ve seen the Nike Huarache Free 2012 and the Nike Footscape Free, but let’s not forget about the main event, the flag bearer for this year: the Nike Free Run+ 2. The layered construction on these runners has proven to be a great canvas for two toned colorways, exemplified here by the university red/volt partnership. Going with the typical neutral look on the lightweight mesh, the web like hits that wrap the sneaker show up with a burst of color. Get the full look after the jump and grab this new release now from Finishline.

In search of more honeycombed Hexalite goodness from the Reebok revival? Well if Swizz Beatz’ Kamikaze joints had you waiting for more Meek Mill and his Blasts still weren’t enough for you, there’s still more to come in the form of the Reebok Sermon. This release comes off looking like a cousin of the aforementioned Kamikaze, albeit it with beefed up ankle support, a more layered set up for the paneling on top, and an extra hit of of the Honeycomb on back. Check out the three out of the gate colorways after the jump which are all up for grabs now at Finishline, and trust us when we say that a sermon has never been this unique, tabernacle.

The Air Max 2012 is set to come through with a bold look layering red and neon sections for what’s probably it’s most eye-catching look so far, and from the looks of the model pictured above, we can expect that bold combo on a variety of Nike Running’s top tier releases. The new Nike LunarEclipse+ 2is something like LunarLon’s answer to the annual Air Max flagship series, this premium Lunar-cushioned design among the lightest and most comfortable runners you’ll find on the market today, thanks to an upper cast in synthetics including a huge swath of mesh across the forefoot. There’s also a white pair whose blue tongue and lining are a more familiar match with the neon accents, a colorway that’s so springy just looking at it can raise your body temperature by a couple degrees. The best way to get a jump on New Year’s resolutions is to get started before everyone else, and why not add running to your get-fit-for-spring regime now that the LunarEclipse 2 is available at FinishLine.

Nike knows at this point how hard it is to do a hybrid sneaker right. Mess with a classic too much and you’ll have forum posters across the land bringing out the pitchforks, but upgrades applied with a subtle touch can make a classic look contemporary without tarnishing what made it great in the first place. Judging by the response so far, we’ll put the Nike Flight Maestro Plus in the latter category. The louder colorways have been praised up to this point, but surely nobody can argue against the necessity of an all black look. The name says it all here, swapping out the usually colorful palette of the Nike Flight Maestro Plus. Check out the detailed shots we’ve got lined up after the jump and head over to Finishline where you pair is waiting for you.
