The USAB influence broadens its reach with yet another red-white-and-blue color-up of a Nike Basketball model. The Nike Air Max Hyperaggressor features a re-tooled Hyperfuse upper with concentric cut-outs at the ankle the reduce weight while keeping the ankle secure, which the Max Air unit at the heel offers a cushy-er ride opposed to the firmer, more responsive Zoom Air. If you’ve always been a Max Air guy, the Hyperaggressor might be just the right fit, so peep the extra shots of this USA colorway below and cop a pair right now at Finishline.

The Jordan SC-2 has been around for about a year now, and just as was the case with last year’s debut collection, one of the July releases has made its way to one particular retailer a couple of weeks early. The Jordan SC2 hearkens back to the pre-Championship era with ‘Flight’ tongue stitching, classic plastic eyelets and a sole that’s somewhere in the Air Jordan III/IV neighborhood. This white, Obsidian and Gym Red colorup foreshadows a plethora of ‘Olympic’ Air Jordan options this summer; will you make the SC2 one of your ‘dream team’ of sneakers now that they’re available from Finish Line?

Merriam-Webster defines correlate as “two things so related that one directly implies or is complimentary to the other.” In the case of the Nike Air Max Correlate, Nike Sportswear is bringing together elements from the Swoosh’s early ’90s Air Max standouts for one casually-oriented faux-retro runner that just dropped in a brand new colorway. This Sport Red, black and white combo hearkens back to Michael Jordan’s heyday with the Chicago Bulls, which is fitting given this model’s clear appropriation of elements from the Air Max 90 and Triax 94 among others. Check it out up close after the jump below, then grab yours at select NSW retailers like Finish Line.

Kevin Durant and his Oklahoma City Thunder have enjoyed extended breaks after both of their 2012 NBA Playoff series wins, and now that the Eastern Conference is down to a single game to determine its finalists, OKC is about to go into battle against what might be the most well-oiled basketball machine we’ve seen over the past decade. This military-leaning Nike Zoom KD IV fits that theme though they’re far more likely to show up at your local park ‘battlegrounds’ than Sunday’s West Finals Game 1. The Rogue Green-based colorway offers tremendous versatility even with Total Orange Swooshes in tow, and you can find them available now at select Nike Basketball retailers like Finish Line or get yours now on eBay.

Basketball sneakers are getting lighter, but are they necessarily stronger? If you think back at some of the most rock-solid sneakers in history (especially after last night’s Hyperdunk fiasco), you can’t look much farther than the Barkley line and the Air Max2 CB ’94; often considered to be one of the greatest basketball sneakers of all time, the CB ’94s were brought back in 2012 with a lightweight, seamless upper and a fresh arsenal of colorways, like this Summer-ready White/Royal/New Green package. This new colorway is available right now at Finishline so take a look at the seven angles below and let us know if you prefer to ball in the slightly heavier 90′s basketball kicks.

The Nike Air Flight ’89 has come back strong in its 23rd anniversary year, this second grey-uppered release of 2012 reflecting both how popular that neutral shade is and how versatile this classic silhouette really can be. We got a considerably more energetic look out of grey nubuck when Neptune Blue and Action Green accented the Stealth edition, so especially by comparison, this new Cool Grey, Anthracite and white mix comes off as its primary color would suggest. This is another one of those highly wearable models you can make one of your spring/summer go-to looks and they’re available now at Finish Line.

Given how many pairs of kicks we buy and at the prices at which they’re offered, it’s easy to forget that sneakerheads actually represent a small portion of major shoe brands’ bottom line. Research and development costs keep the price of cutting edge technology high, but the gains carry over and as manufacturing efficiency improves, the prices for new pairs are more affordable relative to their specs. Take for example the Nike Air Max Dominate XD, an affordably priced outdoor basketball sneaker whose eXtra Durable Rubber outsole, multilayered ventilation and Max Air cushioning make them perfect for pounding the pavement this summer. The three pairs pictured above features the basic team-based varieties as well as one that mixes greys with Volt for one of this season’s trendiest looks – all available now from Finish Line.
