If merely flipping the outsole color on your favorite pair of Nike Foamposite sneakers isn’t quite enough for you, there’s always the light up route. Shown here is a new creation from Sole Swap that pushes an LED set up onto the icy outsole, allowing them to shine on a level that no amounts of sea-glow could ever match. The upper also gets a slight makeover as well, with the Nike Air Foamposite One “Electrolime” injected with some covert bits of blue. Continue reading to see more on this Nike Air Foamposite One custom from Sole Swap and tell us in the comments if you like the light up look.

The Sneaker News March Madness Foamposite Tournament continues as we reach the Elite 8 Round of voting, and with the exception of one spunky underdog in the Southeast region, the entire octet of Foamposite players are pretty much the best ones we originally billed as. Still, it’s not a lock for all #1 seeds to move to the Final Four round, so the voting is still very much important as we near the Championship round! In addition, we’re changing up the voting by opening up all four regions in the Elite 8 tonight, so stay tuned for the Elite 8 polls to go up tonight and see the full breakdown of the Sweet 16 voting below.
ELITE 8 VOTING BEGINS TONIGHT, APRIL 1ST.

You’d be hard pressed to find a rapper out there at the moment whose sneaker rotation, and indeed collection at large, tops that of Wale. The MMG rapper isn’t afraid to show it either, often showing off upcoming pairs before the public can get their hands on them or even going to lengths to defend his veteran “sneakerhead” status. His latest boast comes in the form of this quick collection shot, which shows a small portion of his stuff including far ranging styles like the adidas TS Lite AMR, the Nike Air Max Hyperposite, the Nike KD V, some older Nike SB heat, and more. Continue reading for this look at some of Wale’s stuff and tell us in the comments which sneaker you’re most surprised to see in the group.

Charles Barkley didn’t wear Foamposite during his Hall of Fame NBA career, but his Nike Sportswear hybrid featuring the spage-age injected foam material is doing very well at the moment. The One associated with Penny Hardaway and its Pro counterpart are the Foamposites, but Sir Charles’ prologue gains further significance with this colorway commemorating the NBA team for whom he and Hardaway both played at different points. This ‘Suns’ Nike Barkley Posite Max reminds us that while the two stars in question won gold together with Dream Team III, Barkley played more ball with Godzilla than Penny in Phoenix. The lizard treatment on the foam sections makes you wonder if other Nike signature prints like Elephant or Safari are far behind. It’s a novel approach you’ll want to see up close below, then be sure to check back with Sneaker News for the ‘Phoenix Suns’ Barkley Posite Max release date.

Gourmet Kickz apparently wasn’t content with porting over the Nike LeBron 9 “China” look onto to just one sneaker. This time around he’s jumping the fiery blue and red look over onto the Nike Air Penny line via this Nike Zoom Rookie creation. The “Chinese Penny” pours the red in on the pods, a common place that we’ve seen bossman Chef go to with all sorts of glow-in-the-dark and hand painted looks on this model. See all the angles on the brand new pair and stay tuned to see what other stuff Gourmet Kickz is whipping up in the kitchen.
