Remember when Penny Hardaway himself showed us this Nike Air Foamposite One colorway back in February of this year? Another angle of the sneakers has finally shown up, pretty much promising that they’ll make it to retail sooner or later. The upper has a blue base that looks not too far off from the OG royal, save for the fact that there appears to be a metallic sheen sort of in the same vein as the “Metallic Red” and “Suns” pairs. Tell us if this Nike Foamposite sneaker is one you’re looking forward to and check back in for updates regarding the rumored September 2013 release.

Foamposite customs are still a hot topic because outside of basic sole-swaps and “Galaxy”-inspired themes, we haven’t seen too many unique concepts that make us to a double-take. Truth is, this “Sunset Strip” custom might not fit everyone’s taste, but we’re not seeing any other customizer but Rocket Boy Nift consistently pumping out these graphic-upper custom Foams. This one, according to him, is inspired by a combination of Hollywood Blvd. and Sunset Blvd., and is built to withstand all weather conditions. We’ve got a gallery below, so take a look and throw your bids in now for a pair from niftnif1990 on eBay.

This year’s All-Star Weekend release of the Nike Barkley Posite Max “Area 72″ was one of the highlights of February, with a special in-store release event at the Houston Galleria Mall with Nike designer Marc Dolce being a nice cherry on top. For a lucky few, Marc stuck around and autographed some of the boxes for those who copped the Area 72 releases, with some added illustrations and sketches of the shoes as well as the Raygun logo. It’s definitely a step ahead of the basic autographed shoebox, making this pair quite a rarity for an already highly-coveted shoe. Check out the photos of the autographed and illustrated box below, and if interested, check out the listing from jgskicks on eBay.

It seems that the Nike Air Max Hyperposite has been shelved for good, with the sudden “Area 72″ version being the last known release of this underrated silhouette. One of the big topics of our NBA Feet retrospective feature was the sea of Hyperposite PEs that touched the hardwood floor, and today we’re getting a nice look at a sweet “Iridescent” version that Rudy Gay wore during his time with the Grizzlies. With the “Invisibility Cloak”-like exterior and a Memphis yellow outsole, there’s no doubt that this version would’ve been as popular as the more notable ones to have released, but as mentioned before, the Hyperposite appears to be a done deal for now. We’ve got a nice high-def gallery below so give it a look and let us know if you’d like to see more Hyperposites hit retail.

A recent feature of the Nike Barkley Posite Max unveiled some interesting details on the genesis of this mega-hybrid, and noted that this spicy Metallic Silver/Gamma Blue colorway was one of four releases headed in the coming months. We already know the release of the “Phoenix Suns” colorway is May 18th, but could this version drop earlier? We have a nice detailed gallery of the Nike Barkley Posite Max in the Metallic Silver/Gamma Blue below so check out the detailed photos and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more release updates.

Foamposite fans would love for Nike to head to outer space with the shoes once again, but with no immediate plans for a Galaxy Part 2 to go down, we’ll have to settle for other creative customizers to meet the demand. Rocket Boy Nift’s Nike Air Foamposite One “E.T. Foam Home” hits close to home, as he uses the memorable sunset in the forest landscape from Steven Spielberg’s E.T. film on the upper of the shoe and adds a glow-in-the-dark outsole in the process. We’ve got a gallery of photos to look at below, so give them a review and bid on a pair now from niftnif1990 on eBay.

We tend to take extra notice anytime a Nike Air Penny sneaker comes back in “Orlando” colorways, but most of what’s been releasing with the Penny label has been out of the Magic bounds with concepts like “Phoenix Suns” or even the “Cyber” releases of the Air Penny II last year. Sole Swap comes through with a true OG Orlando inspiration - the “Atlantic Blue” colorway of the Nike Air Penny II. Using the Nike Air Foamposite One “Whiteout” as base, Sole Swap adds Atlantic blue to the outsole and lace collar, with reflective hits on the collar to mimic the 3M piping on the Air Penny II. This is one colorway we could truly get down with if a release ever went down, so check out the high-res photos below and let us know if you’d rock these on your feet!

Since the first release of the “Area 72″ colorway, the Nike Barkley Posite Max has been one of the more talked-about models in 2013. Quite an impressive mash-up of Penny and Barkley, although the price-tag has some balking at a pick-up. Those who have copped, on the other, hand have zero regrets, because these look incredible on-feet. Tomorrow, the “Sixers” colorway will join the aforementioned “Area 72″ and the “Eggplant”, so don’t miss out by hitting up your local NSW store like Sneaker Lounge or getting one now on eBay.
