Nike Footscape Free PRM

nike footscape free prm khaki orange Nike Footscape Free PRM

The Nike Footscape has a unique cult following that dates back to its original days in the mid-90′s. There are plenty of OG releases that demand a pretty penny, and even the more recent GRs are tough to find at a ‘fair’ price because they’re just so darn hard to come by. Recently, Nike Sportswear combined the Footscape construction with Free technology to create the Footscape Free - a foot-formed upper and a bare-foot sensation on the lower. Quite the perfect shoe for the primitive we’d say, and with this basic combo of khaki and salmon orange with hints of light blue on the lace eyelets makes for the perfect combo of ‘natural’. We’ll let you know if and when these hit stores, so take a look at the extra shot below and let us know what you think. via regularolty

The Nike Air Foamposite series has undoubtedly been Nike Sportswear’s biggest retro hit over the past few years, and there are several solid colorways on tap for 2012.  So given that LeBron James is arguably the Swoosh’s biggest star, and that Penny Hardaway is already known to be one of his heroes, it’s only right that we’d see King James add a pair to his impressive stockade of exclusive designs.  This Nike Air Fomposite One LeBron James PE goes the simplest route possible, adding a translucent sole to a black upper that’s seen LBJ’s lion insignia supplant the familiar ’1c’ Penny logo for a look that thoroughly refreshes this model in its 15th year.  Foamposites have gotten a bunch of attention of late, but is it possible that the best pair is reportedly a 1 of 1 that will rarely if ever be seen?  Let us know what you think about these LeBron-exlusive Foam Ones when you click through to see more, and stick with Sneaker News for the upcoming Foamposite release dates.  via Frankie Walker

Nike Footscape Free ‘Charcoal’

nike footscape free charcoal 1 570x379 Nike Footscape Free Charcoal

We’ve seen the Footscape’s trademark offset lacing system paired with a flexible, grooved Free sole plenty of times before on the various ‘Motion’ hybrids, so the fact that it’s taken this long to see the original get the barefoot treatment might come as even more of a surprise than just the sheer unlikelyhood.  The Nike Footscape Free has indeed been a long time coming, and with a colorway like this upcoming Charcoal grey edition, you might find yourself rocking them for an equally extended duration.  This is the kind of shoe that’s servicable as an everyday member of your rotation and comes with the comfort you need to make a shoe your go-to model of choice.  Click through so you can see more angles on this relatively simple colorup and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date.  via Sneaker Freaker

Nike Footscape Free – Treasure Blue + Safety Orange | Available

nike footscape free blue org 11 Nike Footscape Free Treasure Blue + Safety Orange | Available

Footscape and Free? Really? They’re a lot more closely knit than you think. In the early 90′s Nike researched a ton of ‘barefoot’ running, and born from that thought process was the Nike Footscape, which featured a unique mold that was designed in the shape of a foot and an off-centered lacing structure that displaced pressure away from sensitive areas of the foot. Of course, Nike Free arrived much later, but the idea of ‘Free’ was born around the same time. In comes the Nike Footscape Free, which seamlessly welds these two schools of thought – not exactly identical twins, but very close cousins. Featuring a breathable upper with the key Footscape and Free design elements, the Footscape Free hones in on the advantages of both models to create what might the most comfortable foot-formed running shoe to date. Premier has these 2012 launches available just before the New Year ($110 a pop), so check out the detailed angles of both and give the Footscape Free a whirl.

Nike Footscape Free – Khaki – Olive

December 9th, 2011 by | 1 comment

nike footscape free khaki olive white 1 570x379 Nike Footscape Free Khaki Olive

Our first taste of the model came in USA-flag colors plus a bunch of polka-dotted teeth scissoring up and down atop their soles’ grooves, neither of which we’ve seen since from the Nike Footscape Free since.  The last two pairs previewed have come in colorways more appropriate for fall hunting season than next year’s Summer Olympics, this khaki and olive edition adding orange accents in a shade not unlike the upper on the ‘Safety Orange’ edition we showed you earlier this week.  Luckily, both have a certain versatility about them beyond the outdoorsman lean, because despite the earthy tones and hiking-style ticked laces, both of these pairs are on tap for early next year.  Click through to see more angles on this spring 2012 runner and stick with Sneaker News for the exact release date.  via SF

Nike Footscape Free ‘Safety Orange’

Next March marks the 30th anniversary of Men Without Hats’ hit single ‘The Safety Dance’, and Nike Sportswear wants to ensure that any attempt to celebrate the occasion can be done both with comfort and avant garde style.  The Nike Footscape Free is something like the modern equivalent of the wacky asymmetry that typified 1980s new wave movement, its distinct eyelet configuration now taken up a notch by a barefoot-mimicking Free sole.  The overall look is even sleeker and more futuristic than the Air Footscape, a model still considered to this day to be one of the most ahead-of-its-time designs ever issued.  Click through for a closer look at the Safety Orange Footscape Frees and stick with Sneaker News for the official release date on this spring 2012 offering.  via SF
