The Star Wars x adidas Originals collection has produced some interesting marketing efforts and even better kicks over the past few years, one standout having released this past February with a curious take on the bizarro white hat Stormtroopers. The Star Wars x adidas Originals Superskate Mid ‘Stormtrooper’ was cast in white leather plus a neon camo print that was applied to the sockliner and the familiar helmet on their tongues. This release was like much of the series in that it provided a breath of fresh air to a classic image, and as it turns out, the world hadn’t seen the last of the famous white helmet with a twist. Created this one for StarWarsRemix, it’s hard to think of a better accessory to compliment the ‘Stormtrooper’ Superskates; how much will this one-of-a-kind piece prove to be worth? Check out some more images after the jump then place your bids with freehandprofit57 on eBay.

The original drop from the UNDFTD x Coverse Ballistic Pack came back in back in July, with the capsule coming in a solid dark navy blue across all the items included. In this second edition of the UNDFTD x Converse collabo the motif remains consistent, utilizing a clean white/beige colorway on the various items from the drop. These items include a Star Player High, Academy Low, and the heavy duty ALICE backpack, just like last time around. Perhaps feeling the sting of having been left out of the Entourage x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Lights Out’ collaboration, Undefeated have been on a tear of late. We’ve seen a couple of collaborations with Puma already this year with an in-house accessories line popping up just days before tag-team projects with Converse and adidas were revealed. The former of those actually first showed up in May, but all we could really glean from that was the basic colorway, materials choices and fitting nickname. And while the UNDFTD x Converse ‘Ballistic Pack’ has retained its name, the nylon Star Player High for which they’re named is now navy instead of black. Joining the Star Players is a pair of Academy Lows and a matching ALICE backpack, all of which will be at the UNDFTD e-store and chapter locations on Friday, July 15th.

The last time Vans collaborated with a BMX company, the result was a blacked-out collection from The Shadow Conspiracy. The latest is a tag team effort with Cult Crew on a similar package that also features all-black sneakers, but with a considerably more ‘frightening’ twist. The Cult x Vans collection includes the Brasco lowtop and chukka-influenced Atwood midtop, both of which have bright orange liners to match the accompanying frame, fork and handlebars. Rounding out this set is your choice of brown or white waffle grips, and you can see the entire set when you click on the jump below. Let us know how these compare to the other recent Vans collaborations we’ve profiled here on Sneaker News and look for these at select Off the Wall retailers today. via SF

The Nike Air Max 90 is one of those go-to models in the Nike Sportswear catalog that’s among the first to get any kind of technical upgrade. We’ve seen them with Free soles and/or Flywire-reinforced uppers, the discontinued Moire series and most recently, the use of Vac-Tech and Hyperfuse construction. The latest manages to one-up all of these with its unique application of Flywire AND Hyperfuse on a design inspired by Nike, Inc. brand Hurley’s ‘Phantom 4D’ Flywire boardshorts. The Hurley x Nike Air Max 90 ‘Phantom 4D’ features those same vector graphics from the shorts that has also been carried over to a series of limited edition Hurley x LDG bike frames that’ll be on display at select Hurley events like the recent grand opening at Salvation Malibu. And just down the coast at Nike Santa Monica, a raffle was drawn this morning to determine who’d be allowed to cop a pair, with no holds or phone orders allowed until Sunday at the earliest. NSW’s 21 Mercer flagship in New York will begin selling theirs at 1pm today so click through to see more images and let us know what you think of this Dalek-derived collaboration.

Despite the evolution of sneakerhead culture and the growth of various associated cottage industries, there’s still all of one noteworthy brand manufacturing after market laces. Major cool points to you if you thought of any other brand than Starks, because the sneaker game is severely lacking in high quality accessories, or should we say ‘was’? Because you’re not going to find a brand with more street cred thanks to its consistent quality than Cali-based Undefeated. The Five Strikes brand has decided to venture beyond their numerous collaborative sneaker releases into a line of their own accessories, with the first five colors of UNDFTD shoe laces currently available at all chapter stores. The grey, red, black, navy and white strings will also hit the UNDFTD e-store on Friday, July 8th, so click through to see more angles and let us know if you plan to get a pair.

When you’re responsible for as many collaborative sneaker releases as a store like Undefeated, it’s quite common to see in-house footwear designs make their way to retail. But in a move that shows perhaps Eddie Cruz and co. are fine leaving the full on Alife to the boys on Rivington St. and their ilk, because instead of crafting an UNDFTD sneaker line, the West Coast legends are applying their five strike insignia to a series of accessories. The items range from laces and dubraes to shoehorns and sneaker cleaner, all of which save the lone Lakers-like item match the colorups released in the UNDFTD x Puma California Canvas Clyde pack. Click through for more and let us know how they compare to your favorite brands of after market kick-cessories.
