Can anyone remember Michael Jordan borrowing a pair of kicks from Ken Griffey Jr.’s closet and wearing the Diamond Furys during his short tenure with the Chicago White Sox organization? It was one of those rare non-Air Jordan footwear moments for Michael that we’ve covered before, but it’ll be a long time ’til you see MJ rock anything else without his Jumpman silhouette. That shouldn’t be the case for the small-footed girls come this Summer because Nike Sportswear just dropped a new Voltage Cherry colorway of the Diamond Fury (the Max Air, Fused-out version, of course), so peep the full profile shot below and head to Eastbay where they’re available now!

June 9th is quietly shaping up to be the biggest sneaker release date in a good while; could it creep up on us and run away with the crown? We’ll most certainly be watching to see if the Nike Air Yeezy 2 drops this time, and on-time releases like the Air Jordan IV ‘Military Blue’, the latest ‘Poison Dart Frog’ Zoom Kobe 7 and the Nike Sportswear trainer pictured above mean there’s something for everyone coming up next weekend. This Nike Air Max Griffey Fury pairs Metallic Silver with New Green and black accents, a kind of alternate Mariners look that you might pair with some dark denim to complete the color scheme. Click through to get a better idea of how that might look and grab yours a bit early from 95soleman on eBay.

While their name suggests anger, we can’t imagine that anybody can really be mad at such a slick colorway of the bubble bottom outfitted hybrid that is the Nike Air Max Griffey Fury. No it’s not the OG version that made waves so many years ago, but come on folks 2012 is jam packed with glorious retro trainers making the rounds so we can show some love for a new era take on one right? The neutral almost platinum look up top makes these pretty versatile, and the new green injected into the Air Max bottom gives them just the right amount of Mariners heritage to make them worthy of their namesake. Check out all the angles of the Nike Air Max Griffey Fury in metallic silver/black/new green after the jump and grab a pair now from the team at Sneaker Bistro - a full week before the official release date.

You didn’t forget about the Nike Total Griffey Max ’99 did you? The model started off the year pretty strong with a handful of releases popping up in the first couple of months, only to suddenly disappear as winter faded away. If there’s any colorway that can get your attention again though this is it, a white based pair with a supporting cast of colors that has it looking quite ‘Grape’ like. What’s more it comes as the combo probably closest to the fan favorite Mariners look we’ve seen, so these have summer banger written all over them pretty much any way you slice it. Hit the jump for a better look and pick up this Nike Total Griffey Max ’99 now at retailers like Finishline.

After a burst befitting the flurry of activity in spring training leading up to Major League Baseball’s Opening Day, the Nike Air Max Griffey Fury has slowed its pace in April and moving into this month. Fans of one of the smoothest swings in the history of America’s pastime won’t have to wait much longer, though, as this model reprising Junior’s 1995 signature will round the bases once more come June. This pair’s Metallic Silver and New Green build is both vaguely reminiscent of the Seattle Mariners’ colors and a reflection of the popularity of both grey/silver and minty greens this season, and you can see more images below in advance of the June 9th release date.

The South Beach/Miami Vice vibe has become so increasingly popular over the last two years that anything that utilizes that energetic Retro-inspired punchy theme is guaranteed to get some attention. The Air Griffey Max 1 comes back with a vengeance using the ‘South Beach’ colorway without shame, but instead of going “over the top”, it uses it in moderation, pairing it with a muted Grey/White upper. You can find the hot pink on the Max Air unit as well as on the contrast stitching on the Swoosh as well as the on the strap, with the aqua tones being used in other areas for quite an easy-going combination. Besides the colorway, it’s good to see the Air Griffey Max 1 (undoubtedly the most popular Griffey Retro) return to us, hopefully this is a sign of more releases (in adult sizes, we hope) in the future. More shots below, so take a look and we’ll keep you updated on release information. Photos: marqueesole

With the MLB season in full swing, what better time for Nike’s Griffey line to get a beefing up in terms of the colorways available. Up next is this version of the Nike Air Max Griffey Fury, a bubbly redux of one of Junior’s original silhouettes, featuring a Hyperfuse shell and full-length Max Air. The sneaker we’re seeing here is perhaps the most toned down pair yet, skipping the bright treatment with the Dark Grey upper and opting for just a little bit of university red colorwise. Hit the jump to get a better look and cop this Nike Air Max Griffey Fury now at NSW accounts like Oneness, or get a pair right now on eBay.

The Nike Air Max Griffey Fury has been keeping a pretty good pace in 2012, with an almost one to one ratio between months in the year and colorways we’ve gotten our hands on so far. Looking to continue the trend is this pair that has a vaguely Jordan Brand feel to it what with the black/red combo, albeit the colored sectioning in question is university red rather than the standard varsity. Hit the jump with us to get a better look at this upcoming pair of Griffey hybrids and be on the lookout for the Nike Air Max Griffey Fury in dark grey/black/university red come May 3rd at Nikestore.
