As summer approaches and indoor basketball becomes unbearable, street ball arises. New York City ballers have built up a reputation for their skills on the concrete and Nike has paid homage to two of New York City’s elite courts, West 4th Street’s ‘The Cage’ and Uptown’s Dyckman Park where the most skilled street ballers along with occassional NBA talent battle it out every summer at their famous tournaments. House of Hoops has exclusively dropped a set of Nike Huarache 08 BBall PE’s in two color ways, each influenced by the parks themselves. On June 10th the House of Hoops in Harlem NYC release two limited edition versions of the Zoom LeBron Soldier II along with the above Nike Zoom LeBron V Low in Army colors. About 100 pairs of these were released at the store and they feature similar colors as the Nike Zoom Soldier II Army. On the front part of the tongue are the words “King” on right shoe and James on left shoe. These shoes are only available at House of Hoops, ebay, and Osneaker.

Along with the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier II Camo release at House of Hoops on June 10th, the limited Dunkman color way also arrived. While the Soldier II Dunkman edition includes the Dunkman logo on the bac, a map of Akron, OH on the mid body where you can find a street labeled, Hickory Rd.- where Lebron James’ grew up. The popular Dunkman color way has been used for seven past versions of Nike Zoom LeBrons including the first Soldiers. The new Soldier II Dunkmans are available at the House of Hoops, eBay, and Osneaker.com.

The Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier II ‘Army’ is one of two new limited Nike Lebron James sneakers released June 10th exclusively at the House of Hoops in New York City. Only 100 pairs were released at the store but as always Osneaker has them in stock. This colorway of the Solider II will also be released in Hong Kong before the end of the month. The Soldier was one of LeBron’s playoff shoe, unfortunately the Cavs didn’t make it far enough for him to rock these on the court. You can find these now at the House of Hoops, eBay or at Osneaker.

The Air Jordan 1 Puerto Rico National Team Pack was released at a few Jordan retailers that were located in largely populated Puerto Rican communities including Spanish Harlem’s, Goliath, and Miami’s Shoe Gallery, in addition to the House of Hoops. These Jordan 1’s were inspired by the Puerto Rican National Team colors and even feature parts of the PR flag and Frog on the shoe. This summer at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Jordan Brand will be sponsoring the Puerto Rican National Basketball team. In commemoration of this sponsorship, Jordan Brand released a VERY limited run of this particular Air Jordan 1 Low PHAT, with roughly 72 pairs known to exist. Dressed up in the colors of the Puerto Rican team, with the flag of said island nation on the heel, these kicks were only released at Shoe Gallery, House of Hoops, and Goliath. If you live in Miami or New York, you had a shot at getting these; however, unless you picked them up yesterday, you most likely missed your chance; there were only 24 pairs per store! The fourth and final PE that was released as a part of the House of Hoops PE Pack was this Carlos Boozer PE that matched the Utah Jazz’s away uniforms. The Sharkley seemed to be the perfect shoe for Boozer as he wore it for the duration of the NBA Playoffs before him and his Utah Jazz were elminated by the LA Lakers. The shoe comes in Black, White, and University Blue and would be the perfect compliment to any Utah Jazz fan’s sneaker collection alongside the Derron Williams Huarach 08 PE. via LTD Online

We just showed you the Nike Sharkley House of Hoops City Pack consisting of four Sharkleys that were inspired by four major US cities including LA, NY, Las Vegas, and Houston. The second Sharkley pack that was released at the House of Hoops this past week was a Sharkley PE Pack that included a Tayshaun Prince PE, Zach Randolph PE, Ben Gordon PE, and Carlos Boozer PE. Since day 1 the Nike x Footlocker House of Hoops door in Harlem, NY has delivered quality Nike basketball products to it’s customers, with some even traveling from outside of New York just to lineup outside on 125th Street and try to pick up a pair of their favorite player’s Player Edition (PE) colorway. Before the House of Hoops the only way one even could realize owning a pair of PE’s was ebay or some other sneaker online store. Now that the HOH has opened, the PE shoes are not only more accessible but they also cost a lot less and can even be found in your own size as opposed to your favorite player’s.
