Is tonight’s NBA Finals Game 5 in Dallas the single biggest of LeBron James’ entire basketball career? It’s hard to suggest the answer is no given the Barkley-esque common sense sentiment that the winner of this game will go on to take the series. And though now might be the perfect time to get some extra help in the form of a Dunkman release, you still can’t argue against the perfect timing of the Nike LeBron 8 V/2 Low ‘Sprite’. One of the very best summer sneaker designs of 2011, the ‘Sprite’ LeBron 8 V2 Lows go with a mix of Treasure Blue and Volt that pretty well emulates CocaCola’s lemon-lime soda can. They’re hitting House of Hoops on Friday, but have already popped up at FinishLine with select additional Nike Basketball retailers also getting shipments, or if not, you can find a pair right now on eBay.

Can Dwyane Wade add a second championship ring to his finger this year? Dwyane Wade may need to channel his inner Michael Jordan if he wants to lead the Miami Heat to two victories over the next three games, but there’s nothing like a jolt of energy when two new colorways of his signature sneaker hits stores. Neither are Miami Heat-based colorways, but provide a nice alternative if you’re looking for something other than the basic Black/Red/White motif. The Jordan Fly Wade in Radiant Green and Orion Blue will hit Jordan Brand retailers like House of Hoops tomorrow so click below for a refresher on these new releases and let us know if you think Wade can win his second ‘chip.

There’s quite a bit of favorable buzz about the shoe pictured above these words, but how it’s remembered in the coming years will depend on the outcome of the next two or three games. LeBron James is closer than ever to his first NBA Championship, but he no longer has a chance to celebrate before the Nike LeBron 8 V2 Low ‘Sprite’ hits retailers. That’s because the lemon-lime flavored LeBron 8 V/2 Lows are prepped to hit Foot Locker’s House of Hoops on Friday and have already been spotted at select Champs Sports locations. Click through to see some new images and avoid the rush at your local Nike Basketball retailer by buying yours on eBay.

What would it be like to go shopping at your local mall and find out that you can right there on the spot grab a couple limited edition colorways from Jordan Brand’s lightest signature basketball sneaker ever? That seems to have happened to in select cities where Foot Locker’s House of Hoops specialty locations have started offering two Air Jordan Fly Wade exclusives. The first is between May’s general release and Dwyane’s playoff PEs, a black and red look that sees its distinguishing red ankle collar light up thanks to reflective 3M. Another pair with the same blocking comes out of left field with its blue accents, which seems fitting given the overall surprise of this release. Click through to see more images and let us know if you were able to find these at your local House of Hoops. via NT

Around this time of year in 2010, Nike Sportswear released the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Cough Drop’ as a House of Hoops and Nike exclusive release, but it fell at an inopportune time as the release of the Air Jordan VI ‘Infrared Pack’ fell on the same day. This year’s Quickstrike release of the Air Foamposite One ‘Electric Green’ steers clear of any other big-name drops, as these are slated for a House of Hoops Exclusive release this Thursday, May 19th. The ‘Electric Green’ Foamposite is the fourth overall Foamposite One/Pro release of the year, which is almost $1,000, tax inclusive, of Foamposite goodness in just five months. Check with your local House of Hoops locations for release quantities and let us know if you’ll be copping these this Thursday. via taobao.

Kobe Bryant wanted to keep playing basketball into June, but it looks like the closest he’ll get to a championship this year is if FC Barcelona can win their UEFA Champions League final against Manchester United on May 28th. But luckily, you won’t have to wait until then to get the Barca-inspired Nike Zoom Kobe VI FC Barcelona Pack, because London’s House of Hoops will get theirs tomorrow. The Bright Mango pair had already hit NikeStore UK last week, but if you weren’t able to get those and/or want the blue pair as well, now’s the time to make your plans. Click through to see some new images and stick with Sneaker News for any word on a US release date, although at the moment, it’s looking like these will in fact be limited to select Euro retailers.
