The Air Force 1 will forever be a key component of the Nike Sportswear lineup, and for that we’re truly glad. But some of the successors of this three-decade-dominator haven’t been as lucky, with models like its immediate sequel and a few others coming in and out of the ranks of the regularly released. Take for example the Delta Force, once a mainstay of both the pre-NSW Sport Culture lineup as well as Nike SB’s mid-’00s climb, now has been relegated to the sidelines as we see more esoteric retros and newfangled hybrid designs. The Nike Delta Force High AC is itself a combination of the classic silhouette with a casually-oriented vulcanized sole, these two new releases echoing the AF1′s reliance upon white and black early in 2012. Together they’re very much like a yin-yang, but will you be buying both as these arrive at NSW stores like Titolo?

Nike Zoom Rookie LWP – Black – Anthracite | Release Date

While the Air Flight One is headed toward the stars via Orlando, the spectacular hybrid model that was most young sneakerheads’ first exposure to its signature pods is headed in the opposite direction. Given their history (first Shaq in ’96, then the ’09 Finals), you might think that’d be LA, but we’re actually talking about a colorway that always does well everywhere, any time of year. The Nike Zoom Rookie is ready to debut its ’Blackout’ colorup, a subtly stunning mix of Anthracite Foamposite, black nubuck and the ever-present translucent outsole. These have the unenviable task of following the aptly named ‘Dynamic Blue’ joints to retail, but there’s little cause for worry about betting on swift sales when these hit select Nike Sportswear retailers on March 3rd. via Kicks-crew

Jordan Spiz’ike ‘Black Cement’ Customs by Sab-One

We just saw El Cappy’s take on applying the Air Jordan III’s ‘Black Cement’ colorway to the AJVI’s silhouette, so what would happen if you did the same thing to a shoe that only had the Six’ tongue? Sneaker customizer Sab-One turned his attention from the ever popular AJ6 to a model that uses its signature tongue in combination with a variety of other elements fromt the early Air Jordan Legacy to create the ‘Black Cement’ Jordan Spiz’ike. These came into existence when Sab copped the ‘Mars Blackmon’ Spizikes only to wear them once and return them to a near DS state. The relatively perfect condition made these a prime candidate for a colorway swap, and with Elephant print already on the toe and heel of these just like the Threes, the rest of the transition to a style like the one that took over last Black Friday was in the bag. The Jordan Son Of Mars is ready for a worldwide debut later this year, but is the public ready to absorb another multi-Air Jordan hybrid? The Jordan Spiz’ike stands above the entire catalog of Jordan hybrids, with the Six Rings and Dub Zero falling just below it (not much will be said about the Prime 5 or the Rare Air), but the Son Of Mars has quite the heady backstory that could make them one of the best hybrids ever. The Air Jordan X has taken over the Spring 2012 season with a nice variety of AJX releases in Retro, Autoclave, and CMFT form. Arriving this March in that third category is this simple White/Black/Stealth colorway; it features a familiar perforated synthetic leather upper with a black/stealth checkered inner lining and the black outsole, but wouldn’t grey-colored lace straps make these the perfect ‘Steel’ version of the CMFT Air Max 10? Nike Lunar Flow Woven – Birch – Green Apple

The Nike Lunar Flow sure has covered a lot of ground material wise given its short lifespan. We’ve seen suede versions and the PRM drops splintering out from the main model, and now we have another set to join the crowd. A shoe we first previewed last fall, the Nike Lunar Flow Woven looks pretty much how you would expect it to given the name, with the woven paneling hitting on the side walls and the toe box. We’ve got a look at the birch/apple green colorway here, which is set for a Spring 2012 release. Nike Lunar Safari – Upcoming Colorways

For 2012, Nike Sportswear will prepare a nice 25th Anniversary celebration for one of the most underrated Nikes of all-time – the Nike Air Safari. Part of the original five of Tinker’s Nike Air Pack in 1987, the Air Safari has enjoyed a continuing cult following that started from day one; the shoe was originally meant to be for running, but the wacky design made it such a style icon that even today, the Air Safari is looked upon for inspiration (and anything with Safari seems to grab copious amounts of attention). Dropping later this year is the Nike Lunar Safari – a Lunar-outsoled and reconstructed Air Safari that optimizes Nike’s latest comfort tech with the iconic design. This first look at the Black/Purple and Mint Green/Black tells us that Nike has no qualms about giving this shoe some colorful personality, but expect some of the OG colorways to drop as well.
