Boston’s Bodega has mastered the art of crafting premium Saucony classics so thoroughly that recent efforts extend into hybrid-making.  The new Bodega x Saucony G9 Control represents the fusion of Master Control upper and Grid 9000′s super-cushioned sole, the latest rendition of which is another fine example of Bodega pairing pink/red and blue/purple shades around a neutral base.  So while we’ve nto seen one exactly like this before, the basics have been established; how does that level of familiarity compare to something like the new tiger camo G5s, then grab one of the 600-pair limited run available at select retailers including Up There.

The fusion of Eric Koston’s first Nike Skateboarding signature with the beloved Air Max 90 was such a success, there’s another running-inspired Koston sig on deck called the ‘Express’.  But before we board that bandwagon, we get a new Nike SB Koston X Heritage, this time opting for blue and black accents against neutral suede instead of the Infrared hits that marked the October debut.  Have a closer look below so you can let us know which of these Koston X Heritages looks better, then grab yours from select retailers like Bored of Southsea.

While we’ve seen a gang of Air Jordan 1s with the DNA of later pairs spliced onto them, it’s still unclear exactly which ones will be making it to retail. The Air Jordan 1 ’93 is a pair that borrows from the Air Jordan VIII, with this specific colorway pulling its look from the soon-to-be-retrod Air Jordan VIII ‘Bugs’. Check out the Air Jordan 1 ’93 retro in full detail after the jump and tell us if you’re hoping that this pair makes it to retail. And just in case they don’t-you can actually own them now courtesy of oregonsole on eBay.

It looks like the Air Jordan IV just couldn’t stay out of the retro limelight, as the sneaker is set to comeback in a round-about way via the Air Jordan 1 ’89. The sneaker is an Air Jordan 1 at its base, but comes with plenty of embellishments that pushes it towards Michael Jordan’s fourth signature silhouette (netting on the sides, a ‘Flight’ tongue tag, the cement print). There’s no word yet on retail availability, but we’ve already seen the Air Jordan 1 do the hybrid thing this year with those Air Jordan XIII-inspired pairs, so don’t be surprised when this one shows up as well. Continue reading for a more in depth look and let us know if you’re looking forward to the Air Jordan 1 ’89.

Nike Field General Free

The Nike SFB is one of Nike’s most emphatic ‘niche’ shoes. Outside of being worn by the members of our nation’s Armed Forces, the Special Forces Boot has been been appreciated by a select crowd of Nike-ites, with the quirky Tinker Hatfield himself drawing inspiration from the shoe and implementing it on the super high-top Air Jordan XX8. In a rather interesting development, Nike gives the SFB a lifestyle twang with the all new Nike Field General Free, which uses a Nike Free 5.0 base on a retro-styled upper that looks like a mix between the Air Force 1 High and Dynasty High. We suspect this Free-based lifestyle shoe to be one of these niche releases as well, so expect them only at select Nike Sportswear retailers this Saturday, as hanon in the UK will be one of the choice spots to have these available.

In 2006 Nike teamed up with Jordan Brand to release the “JorDunk” Pack – a series of Dunk Low inspired by some of the most iconic Air Jordans of all-time. The Dunk’s cousin – the Air Jordan 1 – is going through a similar process as we get a first look at an Air Jordan 1 hybrid with the Air Jordan IV dubbed the Air Jordan 1 ’89; we’re getting a look at three colorways – two obvious inspirations from OGs and a third tonal-red version – that is set for a release sometime this year. A full shot of the three colorways of the Retro IV inspired Air Jordan 1 ’89 is just below so take a look and stay tuned for more updates.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro ’97 TXT apparently has a couple different colorways that will tie in to the upcoming Air Jordan XIII ‘Squadron Blue’. This pair is the one that will do so more thoroughly, with the base up top sporting said color. After that there’s plenty of electric yellow running along the laces and the outsole on bottom. Hit the jump for an early catalog scan of this Air Jordan 1 Retro ’97 TXT and keep in mind that they should be in stores pretty soon given the imminent release of the sneaker they’re based on.

Nike Air Force 1 Duckboot “Grain”

The Nike Air Force 1 Duckboot proved with recent NIKEiD options that it was ready to push beyond the traditional earthy styles we expect from this classic weather-ready boot. The latest release is at least at first glance more of the standard you might expect from this century-old rainy day design, but thanks to the vibrant orange laces and a sick translucent/gum sole setup, these push their khaki upper toward the kind of subtle expressiveness that immediately establishes you as someone with a keen eye for detail. Have a closer look after the jump and make the most of the rest of winter in this new ‘Grain’ AF1 Duckboot at Nike Sportswear retailers like Rock City Kicks.
