While we’ll have to wait and see if a Nike signature sneaker for Kyrie Irving is in development, we’re getting some nice detailed photos of his Nike Hyperdunk 2012 PE that he’s been wearing throughout the season. Featuring a solid mix of Black, Red, and Yellow to match the Cleveland Cavaliers uniforms, this Hyperdunk 2012 also features Kyrie’s personalized Nike logo, which we must has some resemblance to the logo on Irving’s alma mater of Duke University. Enjoy the detailed photos below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for any Kyrie updates as we approach the offseason.

Kyrie Irving‘s bright future is what we’re all focused on, but in this latest installment of Nike Basketball Inside Access, we’re getting a rare look at Kyrie’s past and the significant events that have directed him down a straight path to NBA stardom. Beginning life in Melbourne, Australia and traveling with his widowed father to West Orange, N.J., Kyrie learned invaluable lessons from his father Drederick, a pro-basketball player in Australia, which led him to garner attention from top universities at the age of 15. After one great year under Coach K at Duke, Kyrie has established himself as a premier point guard in the NBA, with a growing laundry list of accolades supporting his case of becoming a prominent face of the NBA for years to come.
Here on Sneaker News, we’ve discussed the potential of Kyrie being the next signature athlete for Nike Basketball, and our readers seem to agree with that notion; with Kobe Bryant going down with injury and his years as a pro dwindling, Kyrie’s window of opportunity seems to be growing. Check out the Nike Basketball Inside Access video with Kyrie Irving below and let us know what your thoughts are on Kyrie Irving’s future in the NBA and with Nike, and stay tuned for a detailed look at his new Nike logo and Hyperdunk PE.

We’re just a few days away from the NBA Playoffs, but teams are still playing hard in order to move up the Playoff seedings or to maintain their positions. The red-hot Knicks were led once again by Carmelo Anthony, who set aside his M9s and went with the Jordan Melo M8 Advance, while Nate Robinson of the Bulls went with the Air Jordan XIII “Playoffs”. Russell Westbrook’s Air Jordan XX8 PE deserves some notice, as does Eric Bledsoe’s Nike LeBron X “Christmas”. The best sighting goes to Monta Ellis, who rocked the Air Jordan VII “Hare”. More of NBA Feet is below, so take a look!

Some interesting headlines popped up in the NBA the last two days: the Miami Heat streak came to screeching halt, Kobe Bryant has another injury to deal with, and Danny Granger is sidelined for the rest of the season – which vastly changes the Playoff picture in the Easter Conference. Plenty of “Feet” to be seen as well however, with LeBron wearing the Black Suede Nike LeBron X and Kobe wearing a new Black/White colorway of the Nike Kobe 8, but there was a nice collection of Air Jordans to be seen as well – Air Jordan IV “White/Cement”, Air Jordan XII “Rising Sun”, and more. Check it all out below for a better look and stay tuned for nice Weekend Recap on Monday.

It’s sad that Rajon Rondo won’t be able to rock these for the remainder of the season, because his Playoff-basketball intensity is what makes the Celtics a dangerous team regardless of their seeding. Boston will have to made do without him, but what stinks for sneaker fans is that whatever sneakers he had picked out for the Playoffs would have impressed us for sure. He was already a major candidate for Sneaker News NBA Feet MVP of the season, but with the injury taking him out mid-way through the year, he’s no longer eligible – although our rules aren’t exactly rock-solid. One of the shoes he’s been rotating is this Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2012 Low PE with his double-R logo on the tongue, so if you’re interested in getting these unreleased PEs on your own feet, check out the listing from jwheeler3332 on eBay.

As if we needed another reason to hate on the Duke Blue Devils, Duke guard Tyler Thornton gave us an inside look at the sneaker rotation currently sported by the ACC powerhouse in this great video which features a sea of Royal Blue and White LeBrons, KDs, and Kobes. Thornton himself is rocking some Military IVs, but later shows us his rotation of the Air Foamposite One “Royal”, Nike Huarache Free Bball 2012, and Nike Air Flight One, but that might be bested by Senior Forward Mason Plumlee’s impressive stash of the Air Zoom Generation, Zoom 2k3, and Air Zoom GP II – three great early-2000′s models. On top of that, we’re given a rare look at the Duke sneaker storage closet, which Thornton poignantly describes as a “sneakerhead’s dream”. Check out some of the highlights as well as the full video below!
