It’s sad that Rajon Rondo won’t be able to rock these for the remainder of the season, because his Playoff-basketball intensity is what makes the Celtics a dangerous team regardless of their seeding. Boston will have to made do without him, but what stinks for sneaker fans is that whatever sneakers he had picked out for the Playoffs would have impressed us for sure. He was already a major candidate for Sneaker News NBA Feet MVP of the season, but with the injury taking him out mid-way through the year, he’s no longer eligible – although our rules aren’t exactly rock-solid. One of the shoes he’s been rotating is this Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2012 Low PE with his double-R logo on the tongue, so if you’re interested in getting these unreleased PEs on your own feet, check out the listing from jwheeler3332 on eBay.

As if we needed another reason to hate on the Duke Blue Devils, Duke guard Tyler Thornton gave us an inside look at the sneaker rotation currently sported by the ACC powerhouse in this great video which features a sea of Royal Blue and White LeBrons, KDs, and Kobes. Thornton himself is rocking some Military IVs, but later shows us his rotation of the Air Foamposite One “Royal”, Nike Huarache Free Bball 2012, and Nike Air Flight One, but that might be bested by Senior Forward Mason Plumlee’s impressive stash of the Air Zoom Generation, Zoom 2k3, and Air Zoom GP II – three great early-2000′s models. On top of that, we’re given a rare look at the Duke sneaker storage closet, which Thornton poignantly describes as a “sneakerhead’s dream”. Check out some of the highlights as well as the full video below!

If you had to pick out the best sneaker from each individual year going back two and a half decades, which would you select? Complex decided to do that, compiling the results in a feature they’re calling the 25 Best Sneakers of the Past 25 Years. There are some that probably aren’t too debatable (Air Jordan III anyone?), but the list is far from textbook and definitely contains a few left field nods as a Supra is selected and a trail-ready Nike Free model shows up. Get a quick sample from the list after the jump then see Complex for the full feature.

NBA Action was rolling on all cylinders throughout the St. Patrick’s Day weekend, with a nice selection of green-based sneakers coming to light during the Sunday games. James Harden supported his former teammate by wearing the Nike KD V “Hulk”, while “Volt” was a popular pick with Blake Griffin’s Jordan Super.Fly 2 and Deron Williams’ Nike Zoom Huarache 2k4. The Air Jordan XX8 popped up on the feet of Joe Johnson, who wore the Black/Electric Green colorway, while the brand’s lead man Russell Westrbook wore a tonal-black PE with a white Jumpman on the heel. There’s plenty more in Air Jordan Retros, Nike Basketball, adidas, and more, so take a look at NBA Feet below and stay tuned for more!

A lot of Nike Basketball’s non-signature and non-Hyperdunk models don’t get the shine they deserve. Take the Nike Hyperfuse 2012 as an example, because the futuristic silhouette features a dope graphic imposed onto the lightweight Hyperfuse upper, and its only until this insane multi-colored version do we see just how intricate the carvings on the upper truly are. This new colorway adds some punch with the speckled midsole, with the sick grey/black tones on the upper being paired with a vibrant Team Orange on the outsole, interior, and Swoosh for a similar “BHM” package. Additional angles are below so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for U.S. availability.
