The NBA sneaker heat didn’t slow down too much after the Martin Luther King day extravaganza that fell on Monday, with the last couple days of games providing plenty more heat. Perhaps the most notable was Rajon Rondo’s appearance last night in a super bright Celtics PE of the Nike Air Max Hyperposite. Beyond that, the Toronto Raptors continued to carve out their own lane as a sneaker centric team thanks to the easy connection of the ‘Bred’ colors with so many Air Jordan retros-the Air Jordan IV, Air Jordan VI, and Air Jordan XIII all hitting the court for them. Continue reading for all those sneaker shots as well as a sampling of other NBA stars like LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Ray Allen, and more right after the jump.

Wait…isn’t Blake Griffin with the Jumpman label now? For about a year, the word ‘Hyperdunk’ became synonymous with the Los Angeles Clippers star, but a sudden move from Nike to Jordan Brand was quite a stunner, putting a stop to any momentum behind the Blake x Hyperdunk crossover. Regardless of his newfound allegiance with Jordan Brand, Nike has continued to release some Hyperdunk colorways with Blake’s BG32 marking, and this cracked pavement version shoots even closer to Blake’s heart as it reminds us of that sick 10.0 PE of the Hyperdunk 2011 that he wore nearly two years ago. These are available now on Eastbay so check out the side-profile shot below and let us know if you would have liked for Blake to stay with Nike and the Hyperdunk.

Spring 2013 is an important season for basketball sneaker releases because this is the time of year when competitive hoops starts to heat up…a lot. It marks the season during which NBA teams begin to work out the kinks to prep for the Playoffs, but it’s also when college teams zero in on bracket seeding and give it their all to heighten their chances at a National Title. Syracuse is always a big-time player during March Madness, and although these upcoming Hyperdunk Lows aren’t a direct PE, it’s clear that the combo of Team Orange and Midnight Navy was created with the Central New York school in mind. Pictured here is the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2012 Low ‘BHM’ which gets way more thorough as far as the patterning up top than the Nike LeBron X ‘BHM’.
