More and more of the best Japanese New Balance collaborations are making their way into US sneaker closets by way of select stateside retailers. The latest import is a superb suede and mesh pairing that released on the other side of the world just before the end of 2012, the Oshman’s x mita sneakers x New Balance 574 ‘Mojito’. This mint green-dominant design features a leaf ‘dubrae’ in honor of the muddled cocktail from which it takes its name and colors, but one might argue that it’s the unorthodox mix with brown at the heel and a gum sole that really makes this design. Have a closer look below and get ready to hit up the usual suspects, because these have arrived in America and should see further spot releases in the immediate future.

The pairing of Nike Sportswear and Japan’s Loopwheeler Fleece is a match so perfect, it’s crazy to think the closest most US sneakerheads have gotten to their premium cotton weaves over the past three-plus years has been on Air Force 1 Bespoke samples. Overseas connects can help secure some of this supremely comfortable gear, and it looks like you’ll need the same kind of hookups to get your hands on this Loopwheeler x Nike Air Vortex Luxury. These hit Nike Harajuku on February 1st, so stick with Sneaker News after you’ve seen more photos below in case they make it stateside.

United Arrows’ Beauty & Youth puts out a fairly steady selection of sneaker collaborations, but most are fairly difficult to get here in the US. Take for instance the last Beauty & Youth x New Balance 1700, a design crafted in conjunction with Briefing that you’ll probably never be able to grab even with a hefty MSRP multiplier. That’s why this latest navy suede and mesh drop with peanut butter leather accents is such a rare treat, and you can see just how dope they look out in the real world courtesy of the shop that’ll have them bright and early this Saturday January 26th, Cincinnati’s Corporate.

Following up on the hightop return, Converse Japan readies the Chevronstar’s lowtop counterpart. The Converse Canvas Chevronstar CX-250 SU OX is actually built in suede with leather accents, a gold and black combination that always manages to look ‘vintage’ even when they’re brand new. A classically styled vulcanized sole furthers the classic look on this 1977 basketballer, but are they different enough from the Pro Leather, Nike’s Blazer and Bruin or adidas’ Nizza to warrant a purchase? Let us know after you’ve seen the gold pair as well as its inverse plus one in garnet, and stick with Sneaker News for word on US availability.
