Nike Air Max 95 “London”

nike air max 95 london 1 Nike Air Max 95 London

With all the recent attention given to the Big Bubbled Hyperfuse refresh and the equally new No-Sew style, it’s nice to see that a store known for its Nike Air Max 95 exclusives can still come through with new twists on its signature style.  JD Sports has cranked out countless Ninety Fives that get their cool good looks from lots of ‘steely’ colors in the blue, grey and black range, and this latest manages to do that in tribute to the United Kingdom’s capital and its notoriously foggy weather.  The ‘Nike LONDON’ tongue tags remind us that these are more River Thames than New York Yankees during the summer of 2012, and you can see additional images after the jump including the Underground map outsole, before you grab yours from JD Sports.

Nike Air Max 95 – White – Grey – University Blue

nike air max 95 light grey blue white jd 2 Nike Air Max 95 White Grey University Blue

The Nike Air Max 95‘s gradient colorways are almost as famous as the shoe’s human anatomy-inspired lines, and this year’s Big Bubble 360 update has shown us even more thanks to Hyperfuse construction.  The original continues to evolve as well, this new Air Max 95 in its familiar suede and mesh offering a variation on the classic white-grey-black sweep that omits the last and darkest of that list altogether in favor of a bit more levity.  All the soft greys, white and University Blue that makes this design unique are practically cloud-like in concert, so you’ll need to act fast before this heavenly AM95 is gone from the only store that carries this colorway: JD Sports.

Nike Air Force 1 Low – Black – White – Spirit Gold

May 7th, 2012 by | 3 comments

nike af1 low blk yellow jd 7 Nike Air Force 1 Low Black White Spirit Gold

The Air Force 1 missed inclusion in the Nike Basketball Elite Series by about three decades, but here’s a look at what it might have looked like in a similar setup.  This new Nike Air Force 1 Low matches the style of this spring with a clean black and white combo, and thanks to just the slightest hint of Spirit Gold on the midsole branding, these find a common link with the aforementioned cutting edge drops.  And though it might not be fair to compare these with modern technical marvels, those new designs will be lucky to have one-tenth the career the AF1 has enjoyed over these past thirty years.  Check out the latest pair below, then grab yours from the only place that stocks this colorway: JD Sports.

Nike Air Force 1 Low – Midnight Navy – Grey – White

nike air force 1 low navy grey white jd 7 Nike Air Force 1 Low Midnight Navy Grey White

The Air Force 1′s own nickname is ‘Uptown’, so it’s plain to see why we get so many colorways patterned after the Bronx Bombers each spring.  The Nike Air Force 1 and New York Yankees colors are a natural fit, a testament to each’s timeless style and their year-in-year-out contention for that number one spot.  The latest Air Force 1 Low comes just a month into the regular season with NYY trailing a few of its AL East rivals, but can the Boston Red Sox brag about their own AF1 look?  Not this season, and you’ll only be able to jump on board with a purchase from perhaps the most ironic store to be carrying such a Yankee look: England’s JD Sports.

Nike Air Max 95 – Blue – Grey – Graphite

nike air max 95 jd grey blue graphite Nike Air Max 95 Blue Grey Graphite

Ever since Brooklyn-based artist Stash gave his personal twist on the Air Max 95 back in 2006, we’ve seen a ton of Air Max 95 releases curiously exclusive to JD Sports that were colorized in similar fashion. Within the last few months, we saw two ‘Un-Stash’ Air Max 95s like this Navy/Slate Blue colorway as well as one in Dusty Purple, but arriving just before the end of March is this sick new Grey/Blue/Graphite coloway that does the perfect Stash-variant attempt. Does JD Sports have more colorways ‘stashed’ away? We sure hope so. More detailed shots below, but cop yours now at UK footwear dealer JD Sports.

Nike Air Max 95 – Anthracite – Grey – Green

March 23rd, 2012 by | 9 comments

air max 95 jd grey green 7 Nike Air Max 95 Anthracite Grey Green

The Nike Air Max 95 is a modern classic at the very heart of the Sportswear division, both in terms of the number/frequency of releases and in the sense that the OG ‘Neon’ style defined a template that we’ve seen replicated in countless variations with the kind of unity that defines the relatively recent concept of ‘pack’ marketing.  This latest pair sees a return to the classic grey-dient, but instead of matching the Swoosh to the eyelets and Max Air cushions, these opt for yet more grey in favor of a green lace.  It’s just a tiny shift that will seem like a giant leap for AM95 devotees, and another pattern that we’ve both seen executed perfectly in the past, and expect for the future.  But be careful about waiting around for the next one, because with exclusive availability only at JD Sports, these will be gone before you know it.

Nike Court Force AC Canvas

March 10th, 2012 by | 5 comments

nike court force hi ac canvas jd march 2012 Nike Court Force AC Canvas

The Nike Court Force High is one of those models that was quite common in the mid-’00s, but has subsequently seen its frequency fall off a cliff as Nike Sportswear makes room for an unprecedented variety of retro styles.  We still haven’t seen a new pair since last October, but this new variation proves NSW hasn’t entirely shelved the beloved 1987-born silhouette.  The new Nike Court Force AC follows the path blazed by models like the Air Force 180 and Flight Lite, adopting a vulcanized sole for a more casual approach.  Canvas on the navy and grey uppers drive the easy-wearing feel home, and you’ll find these pairs in stock now exclusively at the UK’s JD Sports.

Nike Vandal High – Grey – Black – Blue

nike vandal hi grey black blue white canvas 7 Nike Vandal High Grey Black Blue

It’s still pretty early in 2012, but by the looks of things so far the Nike Vandal High might be poised for a bit of a resurgence. Not a model that we generally see too frequently, we just gave you a look at this black and gold pair and we’re back already with a foggy colored version that mixes in some icy hits of blue. Abandoning the vintage bent of the aforementioned black/gold’s, these ditch the nylon for a leather look, which which fades to black across the piped off sections of the upper. There’s even a bit of canvas thrown in for the Swoosh overlay and the Nike branding on the back badge. Continue reading for the full look at head over to JD Sports now if you need this Nike Vandal High in your life.
