Reebok brought together the eighth most-prolific NBA scorer and NFL’s career rushing leader together in celebration of The Pump’s 20th Anniversary. Legends of sport Dominique Wilkins and Emmitt Smith were on hand in New York Thursday night as RBK threw a party to commemorate the massive collaboration’s release this weekend. They’re pictured above with Pump designer Paul Litchfield, who has gained a bit of notoriety himself during this exegesis of the best sneaker gimmick ever. House of Hoops – Town East Mall – Grand Opening

Some of you may remember a new House of Hoops opening up down in Houston. The Footlocker chain will be opening up another location in Mesquite, Texas; Town East Mall to be exact. Replacing the existing Footlocker, House of Hoops will have its grand opening today, Saturday the 21st. Debuting with a bang, the new HOH will have an array of heat on shelves, including a Hyperize “972″ PE. Sporting traditional Cowboys colors, the Town East Mall exclusive is a perfect pair for anyone with strong Dallas pride- especially now with a new shop of fresh selects. Along with the Dallas Hyperize, the new HOH also has in stock several other dope pairs, including the Ben Gordon Hyperize PE, Pau Gasol Hyperize PE, Rudy Gay and Deron Williams Sharkaliad PE’s, and the highly anticipated Eddie Cruz AF1 High.

With so many potential pick-ups coming up in the next couple of weeks, it’s hard to keep track of all the heat. What to cop? What to pass? What will I regret because of a pending budget? Though many ‘heads have long been over the Jordan Force assortment, other may be glad to be reminded of its release. Despite being abruptly set aside to fall short of being MJ’s last championship shoe, the XIII is still adorned for it’s “Black Cat” look, as well as the recognition that these were the last sneakers he wore with the Bulls in a regular season. So for those insisting that this still does justice to the Jordan legacy, pick em up tomorrow at Footlocker.

Nike WMNS Terminator Hi Perf PRM QS + Terminator Hi Belt PRM QS

Needless to say that Nike has pushed the Terminator to forefront of Nike’s arsenal, making quite a bit of noise in the sneaker realm. But plethora of crack-designs isn’t strictly for us dudes. These two WMNS Terms definitely size up to some of the releases we’ve seen recently. Based on a Day & Night theme, they’re both unified by black chic, and opted to differenciate each other through detail. The pair on the left, representing Day, opts for a simple all-leather upper with a shepra lining – cozy for the upcoming season. They also come with rather long laces, most likely conveying a ‘long, hard day working’ type of message. For the Night pair, however, Nike decided to go for a slightly ‘louder’ look. This time rocking buttery nubuck, the ankle is accompanied with a studded belt which circumferences twice around. Both believed to be Quicktrike releases, these will be available at Nike Harajuku.

Here’s another one of those ‘almost-LIVESTRONG’ palettes, which looks quite good on the Nike Air Max 90. We know that young sneakerheads need some dope exclusives, but can’t help but be a little jealous about how well the neon yellow sections compliment a selection of greys that has some history with Jeff Staple. Nike WMNS Blazer High – Black – Gold – Available

Pretty much everybody is happy about all the Air Jordan XII Retros this holiday season (well, probably not adidas). Here’s a new Nike Blazer High for women that uses a ’sunray’ stitch just like the Twelve. These use a black leather base and add gold stitches. The Swooshes are metallic, so when you see how the stitching doubles up around the old school ‘NIKE’ heel tab, you might think of bike spokes. Toss in a cricket emrbroidery on the tongue tag and this is quite a unique take on a classic design. Available from Shaolin8 on eBay.

The most common thing to see in recent years is ‘packs’ of similar sneakers released all at once. Take for example, the twenty Reebok Pumps dropping this weekend in celebration of their two decades in the inflatable cushioning game. Jordan Brand, on the other hand, tends to show us several variations on a similar theme, then stagger the releases over a quarter or so.
