Eric Koston’s Nike SB signature sneaker just arrived at retailers last month with a white upper and gum bottom, so while simply swapping to black would make for an equally satisfying design, the Swoosh would rather provide a bit more variety. So instead of this just coming off as the yang to that pair’s yin, this new Nike Zoom Koston 1 subtracts the ‘SB’ branding but adds details like a granite finish Swoosh and speckled outsole toe for a finished product that’s as close to ‘black cement’ as you can get without including Elephant print. Supra Vaider ‘Fade’

Gradient designs have been all the rage in recent years as production methods have advanced beyond the point where colorblocking is constrained by layers of leather and suede. A look that has roots in 2008′s Nike Dunk High ‘Destroyer’ pack has evolved to the point where a model like the Zoom Kobe VII wouldn’t be the same without a gradient on its synthetic shell. The above pictured Supra Vaider Mid in ripstop canvas can’t quite match the detail on a model like the ZK7, but the black-to-white fade is embodied by a succession of progressively darker shades front to back, and select pink accents add a nice pop to this otherwise neutral colorup.
