Nike Zoom Streak 5 “Turbo Green”

nike zoom streak 5 turbo green 01 Nike Zoom Streak 5 Turbo Green

The name alone suggests the Nike Zoom Streak 5 isn’t one to sit around, so it’s not entirely a surprise to see another pair follow quickly after the first ‘Laser Crimson’ edition.  This style uses another color that’s very popular at the moment, with Turbo Green mixing in with black on the upper and adding hints of neon for that familiar energetic look from Nike Running.  It’s worth mentioning that there haven’t been too many options for those who feel the combination of Flywire and Zoom Air works best for their runs, so you’ll want to take note of these now that they’ve dropped at shops like Extra Butter.

Vans OTW “Reptile Pack”

April 10th, 2014 by | No comments

vans otw reptile pack Vans OTW Reptile Pack

The Vans OTW collection is this time going Off the Wall and straight into the animal kingdom with the just released “Reptile Pack”. The name here doesn’t denote any animal skin used so they’re safe for the PETA crowd, just like the recent charity release ASPCA Vans with that cats and dogs print. Instead, the “reptile” seems to be a reference to the jungle style prints that show up for the lining of each of these sneakers. Continue reading to see two pairs of the Vans Alomar and one of the Vans Tesella in this new “Reptile Pack” and watch for all three of these right now directly from Vans.

The newly revealed ‘Hacky Sack’ colorway coming up later this month has a dope woven upper, but let’s go back and examine one of the more fundamental ways to apply a bit more color to the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski. This pair mixes Obsidian and Turbo Green canvases (the former adding a bit of perfed leather at the ankle), the layout keeping the former to mostly the underlay, with the exception of the rear which is brought in to the teal saddle in a way that emphasizes the heel as we’ve seen on many recent NSW releases. puma 2014 spring summer suede deconstruct 1 570x399 Puma Suede Deconstruct

One of the key trends this summer and really every year when it gets hot is breathable footwear to keep you comfortable during the dog days.  We’ve seen sneaker brands push this trend as it coincides with new material innovations, but as we see on this new Puma Suede Deconstruct, it can be done with the traditional shoemaking ingredients as well.  The Suede Deconstruct is a slimmed down version of the German Cat’s most popular lowtop, with perforations at the toe and on the Formstripe that cut straight through the unlined upper for maximum ventilation.  Click in to see red and black pairs up close, then cop yours from shops like Commonn.

white on white air force 1s spring 2014 1 Nike Air Force 1 White on Whites for Spring 2014

They’re still a must for many, but some of the higher styles have sort of taken over in recent years thanks to their constant on-feet status for taste makers like Harlem’s A$AP Mob and Kanye associated Virgil Abloh. They rotate in and out of sneaker shelves on a sort of seasonal basis, but you can pick up the full trio featuring the Air Force 1 Low ($90), Air Force 1 Mid ($95), and Air Force 1 High ($100) right now at spots like West NYC. Take a look after the click and then let us know in the comments if you’re grabbing a crisp pair for Spring.
