The latest Nike Air Presto release is something of a surprise, arriving alongside pairs we’d previewed. We hadn’t seen this Sport Red sock pair, who adds a Cool Grey lace cage atop the traditional white midsole. They’re blocked identically to the ‘Tour Yellow’ edition that also just touched down, but using a more neutral overlay makes for a more versatile colorway. Since unleashing a suede quartet for February, the adidas Originals Basket Profi Lo appeared to be gaining some serious momentum. Then we got a new pair for March, and this classic roundball lowtop hasn’t been seen since. Good news as that changes today with the appearance of a new style mixing soft grey shades with white Stripes. The Nike LeBron X “MVP” was a sneaker that just barely had a retail release. What we mean by that is that the shoes released only in a handful of spots across the US, with each of the retailers carrying them going the raffle route for purchase. And now the inevitable has happened-people want to share their pair via online avenues. On the other, the shoe is shifting over the to Nike Kobe 8 Lifestyle build, a slimmed down style that maintains the Kobe 8 shape while wearing some far-from-performance materials. Italy’s Slam Jam is synonymous with neck-breaking collaborations, from their Nike Air Force 1 Lows to the more recent Asics Gel Lyte III. Here we see the store switch from blinding color to a more novel approach as the Slam Jam x Converse Jack Purcell ‘Summer Journey’ makes its mark with the nickname spelled out on the tongues. Add to this the red medial rivets that match the Purcell’s smile and we’re looking at one of the more unique renditions this classic style has seen. It’s a big weekend for LeBron James, who is just one Win away from reaching the NBA Finals for the third straight year. The adidas Originals ZX 8000 has been a bit more active this quarter, and we’re looking forward to at least two new colorways for the fall season. Or perhaps we should have said “were looking”, because one of those supposed July releases has hit one of Europe’s premier sneaker spots a good bit early. This newest ZX8000 comes in a palette Three Stripes marquee name Derrick Rose would love, which means the Dolphins-ish colorup previewed alongside these can’t be too far off either.
