NBA Feet: Kevin Durant Nike Zoom KD IV Black/Orange PE

The Nike Basketball Elite Series price-tags have some sneakerheads looking exclusively at the Zoom KD IV for summer-time basketball sneaker pick-ups. Priced at less than half that of the lowest-priced Elite Series member (the Kobe VII and Hyperdunk, each priced at $200), the Nike Zoom KD IV will continue to be a hot commodity, especially with some high-energy releases still on the way (the Aunt Pearls and the N7 joints). For Games 1 and 2, Kevin Durant wore a clean and simple White/Blue colorway of the Zoom KD IV, and followed that up with a Black/Orange PE for Game 3, which went down in Dallas. The OKC Thunder are running on all cylinders, but with a Second Round meeting with the San Antonio Spurs wipe out Durant’s dreams of an NBA Title? Check out KD’s new Player Exclusives below and stick with Sneaker News for more NBA Feet coverage throughout the Playoffs. Photos: yahoo

Nike N7 Zoom KD IV Release Date

The Nike N7 Zoom KD IV was starting to feel like something of a PE once Kevin Durant broke them out after word of a sudden and substantial release date delay, but now comes word that they’ll actually be arriving a bit earlier than we expected.  From April 1st to June 12th to now May 25th for the N7 KDIVs, both ‘Home’ and ‘Away’ editions designed in the signature N7 colorway and promoting Nike’s campaign to support athletics in North American aboriginal communities.  One can’t help but wonder if we might see the black pair as OKC heads to Dallas for Game 3 of their opening round series, but we know with greater certainty when we’ll be able to get them, so stay tuned for more updates regarding online availability (remember, the Aunt Pearl won’t hit Nikestore).

NBA Feet: Around The Playoffs 4/30 5/2

All eight Playoff match-ups have moved beyond to Game 3 (the Indy/Orlando series are already gearing up for Game 4) and we’re starting to get a better idea of who will move up to the Second round and who will say good bye. We already showed you LeBron James’ PE of the Elite 9 and Kobe’s Purple/White ‘Supreme’ Kobe VII, but let’s take  a look at what else was spotted over the last three nights of Playoff basketball; Dwyane Wade wore the White/Black/Red colorway Fly Wade 2 EV, while Landry Fields, who checked Wade on D most of the night, wore the Wolf Grey Kobe VII. Paul George finally swapped out to a Kobe VII iD was a fade option, while opponent Earl Clark wore the Nike Air Max Penny 1. Out West, OJ Mayo wore a PE of the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 Elite, and in San Antonio, sneakerhead-duo DeJuan Blair and NBA Feet Rookie of the Year Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs to a W with the Black/Cement III and Air Jordan XII Low ‘Black/Nubuck’, respectively. Plenty of more NBA Playoff Feet action below, so take a look and stay tuned for more NBA Feet coverage of the 2012 NBA Playoffs! Photos: espn

Nike Zoom KD IV Aunt Pearl Updated Release Info

If you’re ‘thinking pink’ for next weekends release of the Nike Zoom KD IV, you have to be thinking ‘in-store’ because Nikestore has confirmed that they will not release these online. That means that whatever Nike retail locations are receiving them will dole them out via the controversial ‘Twitter RSVP’ system, which allows Twitter users to reserve their pairs via a simple messaging system. Those who aren’t near any Nike retail location are certainly out of luck, but these are not exclusive to Nike as other select Nike Basketball retail locations will stock them as well. We’ll keep you updated so check out this new set of detailed images and let us know if these changes alter your release date plans. Photos: solemovement

Nike Zoom KD IV Elite Sample

Nike Basketball just took performance basketball sneakers to the next level when the Elite Series hit store shelves on Saturday, its already elevated price tags pushing even higher on the resale market.  That means that the LeBron 9 P.S. Elite that came to market with a $250MSRP is now well over three bills on the ‘Bay, a figure that’s over three times as much as the cost of your average Kevin Durant signature.  And though there’s no denying KD’s superstar status, hurdles like this have kept a possible Nike Zoom KD IV Elite at bay to this point.  Beyond the pricing concerns with upgraded materials, Durant’s unique foot shape in conjunction with a lighter and thinner upper has resulted in a few samples being sent back as designer Leo Chang looks for the perfect combination of postseason tech for the three-time reigning NBA scoring champion.  Click through to get a closer look at what could have been with the Zoom KD 4 Elite and stick with Sneaker News to see if KD will ever have an Elite edition of his sig make it to retail in the future.  Photos: SoleCollector

Nike Zoom KD IV Think Pink New Images

Durant’s message to himself for Game 1 of the 2012 NBA Playoff Series against the Dallas Mavericks: Stay Positive. Those words were scribbled on that White/Blue PE he wore during that game, but here we have look at an upcoming KD IV releases that features another encouraging message providing support for the fight against breast cancer; these Think Pink KD IV’s, also dubbed the ‘Aunt Pearl’, has a hidden message printed on the inner face of the Adaptive Fit strap, which reads “In memory of Aunt Pearl, who inspired us all to continue the fight for a cure”, with the pearloid graphic laid beneath. Sneaker News provided you a release date of May 12th for these, so check out the new angles of this sick new colorway below and let us know what you think. Photos: hupu

Nike Zoom KD IV Playoffs Home PE

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban believes the Western Conference is ‘wide open’, alluding to the fact this his defending champion Dallas Mavericks squad, currently slotted as the seventh seed, has as good of a chance as any of the other West teams to hit the Finals. However, with Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder as their First Round opponents, ‘wide open’ is looking a bit more closed, especially after Durant gave his Thunder a key 1-0 series lead after hitting a game-winning jumper. During Game 1, Kevin Durant sported a clean and simple White/Blue PE of the Nike Zoom KD IV, which featured bountiful scribbles of encouraging messages, like ‘Stay Positive’ seen marked right above the outrigger. We’ve got some additional close-ups of Durant’s PE as well as some in-game shots, so take a look and let us know what you think. Photos: rmbwilliams/yahoo

NBA Feet: Weekend Recap 4/28 4/29

The NBA Playoffs kicked off this weekend with back-to-back days of action-packed NBA action. The first game of has proven to be the pace-maker for these seven-game series, but as teams enter play tonight, fortunes can change. The Playoffs started off on a bit of a down note, as reigning MVP Derrick Rose and rookie phenom Iman Shumpert suffered season-ending injuries that will undoubtedly change the fortunes of their teams. There were still plenty of gallant performances to note, like Chris Paul’s daring comeback, Andrew Bynum’s triple-double, and Josh Smith’s 22-and-18 – all coming during victories. For kicks, it was our first look at the Nike Basketball Elite Series, as Kobe Bryant wore his Elite VII ‘Home’ with a purple swoosh, while LeBron wore his Elite 9 with a red swoosh. Kevin Durant, who was not included in the Elite Series, wore a clean White/Blue PE of the Zoom KD IV, and the Hyperdunk 2011 Elite was worn by Nike big-men Chris Bosh and Tyson Chandler. Check out all of the NBA action from the first two nights of NBA Playoff action and stay tuned to Sneaker News for continual coverage! Photos: yahoo
