wanda pratt kd 6 Another Look at the Nike KD 6 Wanda Pratt

You can file the KD 6 “Wanda Pratt” into the “never releasing” category as far as the KD 6 is concerned. For whatever reason, the familial tribute “Aunt Pearl” pair has become a staple, but the Wanda Pratt has been a friends and family only affair for a while now (All this gets even more frustrating when you consider that she is the real MVP). You can see some more quick angles on this unreleased Nike KD sneaker below and you can tell us in the comments if their elusive status has you at all frustrated.

The KD 7 “Easy Money” will show up next week to complete the first five Nike KD 7 shoes that were all tied up in the “Weatherman” theme. We can’t quite call them the most anticipated of the pairs – that title seems to belong instead to the Global Game – but besides that pair they seem to be in second place as far as fans are concerned. Have a more in depth look at the upcoming Nike KD 7 “Easy Money” and remember that Sneaker Politics is one of the spots who will have them in stores next week.

Kevin Durant has re-signed with Nike, so we won’t get to find out just how much he could have helped push forward Under Armour as a basketball sneaker powerhouse. Now that the dust has settled a little bit, Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank has sat down with Bloomberg to discuss the deal that never happened. Obviously UA would have loved to have Durant in their stable of athletes, but Plank remains optimistic with “We’re a young, hungry, aggressive brand that has a lot of runway in front of us. And frankly we’re just getting started.” Continue reading to hear what else Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank has to say on the deal and tell us in the comments what you think.

Nike KD Trey 5 II “China” – Release Date

nike kd trey 5 china release date 01 Nike KD Trey 5 II China Release Date

The Nike KD Trey 5 II “China” will release on September 18th, 2014. Sure, Kobe and LeBron are the kings of respective China-themed releases, but with Nike matching Under Armour’s gigantic offer to KD, we can only expect the Swoosh to bolster some Durant silhouettes with premium China colorways in the future. Take into account that the KD 6 Bamboo faired particularly well, and it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that Nike’s testing out the Asian inspiration on a team sneaker like the KD Trey 5 II before taking it to his signature sneaker. Featuring a metallic gold swoosh and near camouflage print on the Wolf Grey upper, the pair should definitely turn some heads. Check out more images after the click and let us know if you’re feeling the latest Nike KD Trey 5 II pair by penning your thoughts in the comments section.

kevin durant kd 7 pe Kevin Durant Is Back With Nike, Now Check Out These KD 7 PEs

Kevin Durant has resigned with Nike, which means that we should see his KD 7 sneaker get just a bit more busy in the coming months. For a while there it almost looked like the shoe could be cut short, as Under Armour looked to have him locked down and the first five colorways of his latest silhouette were the only ones spotted. Finally giving us a bit more of what to expect is one of Kevin’s close friends, who threw up this supposed PE pair (It does look rather like something you could create on NIKEiD). Continue reading to get the rest of the angles on them and tell us in the comments if you approve.

Easy Money: Kevin Durant Stays With Nike

kevin durant stays with nike Easy Money: Kevin Durant Stays With Nike

When the ball is in Nike’s court, expect a game-winning shot. A long tug-of-war battle between the Beaverton brand and Baltimore-based Under Armour finally came to a close when Kevin Durant publicly stated his allegiance to “the swoosh”, but arriving to a decision didn’t come so easy. Under Armour made waves with a massive contract that seemed too good to pass up, but Nike upped its original offer to nearly the same figures as laid out by UA and ultimately retained the superstar. Nike’s big offer accomplishes two things: it keeps KD with the brand, and it ensures its dominance in the basketball category by denying its competitor with such a huge asset. So what’s next for Nike and the KD? Expect new colorways of the KD 7 to be revealed (there’s already an “Easy Money” option coming on September 10th), larger distribution of the shoes and KD-branded apparel/accessories, and an eventual change in regime in the Nike Basketball hierarchy. Your thoughts on KD staying with Nike? Chime in below.
