This Saturday, Nike will officially revisit the famed South Beach colorway from four years ago. An just like that late 2010 release, the LeBron 11 “South Beach” will come in kids sizes. The teal/pink combination is unquestionably one of the most iconic colorways in the 20th century era of sneakers, and it definitely had its effect on kid-sized shoes as well. The Nike Air Max 1 received a grade school makeover recently, as the original Air Max model was introduced to smaller sizes for the first time not too long ago. Tinker Hatfield’s classic took off for the youngsters in a number of vibrant colors to attract the eyes, but recently they’ve also been subject to some subtle pairs to make the grown-ups a bit jealous. The latest example is this team orange and hyper cobalt aesthetic that pairs a white mesh base with blue suede overlays while yellow plays an accent role on the tongue logo and eyelets. The Carmine-style of color-blocking hasn’t been used much by Jordan Brand. In fact, outside of the OG Carmine, only the Olympics, Oreos, and a kids release here and there has explored the non-tonal path, but this upcoming kids colorway of “Bright Grape” changes all that. In fact, these are pretty much the same as the Carmines, swapping the daring red for a purple ton while swapping the midsole color-blocking (the black and white is inverted).
