No single sneaker company has the kind of product association that Crayola does with crayons, with the company claiming 99% brand recognition here in the US. That means that as soon as you outfit your youngsters in the new Crayola x Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars, they’ll be greeted with the same kind of respect that accompanies indespensable the 64-pack. These feature Crayola branding on the inner tongue, their classic wavy stripe on the heel and even the color printed on the medial ankles just like the base of those instantly recognizable wrappers. Four colorways are depicted in additional images below and they’re available in both preschool and little kids sizes straight from Converse.

Every time we see teal and purple together, sneakerheads automatically think of ‘Grape’ (or maybe ‘Aqua’, depending on your age and/or personal preference), and a similar level of singular association can be expected from here on out between the pink/soft blue combo and South Beach, Miami. This new Air Jordan IV GS features black nubuck on the upper like several classic Jays, but all your attention is likely to end up on the Dynamic Blue and Vivid Pink elements, and how the latter’s midsole speckles draw your eye toward the white sections below. A high-energy alternative to the ‘Thunder’ and ‘Bred’ editions that’ll drop soon, this kiddie AJIV can be seen in greater detail after the jump below.

2012′s been a rather ‘colorful’ year for Spike Lee, as his original Spiz’ikes have been the subject of mass alteration thanks to its acceptance into the Nike iD fraternity of footwear. Let’s not forget the Son of Mars, the ‘Knicks’ Foamposites, and the various customs made in his name, so looking back on 2012, it’s easy to say that Spike had a strong influence on the 2012 sneaker game. We’ve already showed you a new ’3M’ colorway of the Spiz’ike, but it appears there’s something special for the girls coming this November – a Cool Grey/Purple Earth-White-Liquid Pink teased here. We’ll have more updates for you when they arrive, but check below to get a better idea of what to expect and we’ll let you know for sure when these projected November releases drop.

Vans has absolutely killed it with patterned prints in 2012 and on the eve of the holiday best known for its costumes and decorations, they’ve come through with another style that’ll help you navigate your way through a haunted house. The Vans Era and Slip-On both adopt glow-in-the-dark makeups that give these classic black lowtops some new life, and while the brand’s classic checkerboard pattern always finds plenty of loving homes, the tarsal structure on one of the Slip-Ons is a step ahead. There are also a few styles for kids featuring spiders, robots and/or bats, so let us know which gives you goosebumps after seeing all of them below and grab yours today straight from Vans.

Jordan Brand is about to commemorate the nineteenth anniversary of Michael’s first retirement by kicking off the intriguing ‘Kilroy Pack’ this Saturday with the first of a minimum of ten different Air Jordan IX designs for Q4. And while the Johnny Kilroy kicks, the OG Olives, brand new Photo Blues and beloved Cool Greys are where most of the attention is focused, let’s not forget about this upcoming ladies style. The ‘Imperial Purple’ Air Jordan 9 might be the most visually engaging of the entire Holiday collection thanks to the newly revealed iridescent sockliner threads that finish this regal colorup with a playful feminine twist. Have a good look after the jump, let us know how this new detail impacts your opinion and stick with Sneaker News as we approach the as yet unannounced HO12 release date.

The Air Jordan IX is all about characters this fall, and aside from Michael Jordan’s aliases, there’s one with your special lady’s name all over them. The ‘Imperial Purple’ Air Jordan 9 GS makes its fourth appearance since first showing up back in June (as what many expected to be a ‘French Blue’ remix), and though we still don’t know exactly when during Q4 they’ll arrive, photos from Japanese retailers who’ll have a new Zoom Kobe VII and the ‘Johnny Kilroy’ AJIX on October 6th suggest it will be sooner rather than later. Have a closer look after the jump, let us know how they compare to all the other Nines about to drop and stick with Sneaker News for US release info.

The focus of ‘diamonds’ of the LeBron X has given Nike Basketball some opportunities to get creative with its releases, but there’s not much more you can make of the classic Black/Red colorway, seen here in a kids GS size. It features a black upper with a two-toned red speckle midsole and a Chrome silver Swoosh to complete the basic Miami Heat composition. While the USA already dropped overseas and the ‘Crown Jewel’ is poised for a release this Saturday, many basketball fans are patiently awaiting the in-line Black/Red colorway (different from the first Black/Red we’ve seen), so check out the extra shots of this GS shoe and we’ll let you know if these undergo a growth spurt and release in mens sizes. We’re currently sitting toward the tail end of the month-plus gap between Son of Mars releases, and now have an idea of what might be coming up after the ‘Bordeaux’ drop next weekend. Featuring a GS suffix that looks more like ‘Golden Moments‘ than ‘Girls’, this new Jordan Son of Mars adds a healthy portion of grey (a base shade this silo loves so well) sandwiched in the middle of the black and white plus gold style that made that AJ6+7 two-pack arguably Jordan Brand’s best effort of 2012. We have a bunch more photos after the jump so you can decide for yourself if JB needs to make these in mens sizes, and be sure to check back with Sneaker News to see if these end up like the ‘Prism Blue’ kids drop, or more along the lines of the GMP GS previews we saw foreshadowing wider availability.
