Aston Martin x Kobe Bryant Zoom Kobe V + Hyperdunk Pack – New Images

Why is the Nike Kobe Bryant x Aston Martin so important? Yeah, Aston Martin, Nike Hyperdunks, stuff guys love. But it should hold special meaning to Kobe because it was a testament to the harsh growing process he endured throughout the middle portion of the decade. Without a doubt one of the greats, but not so much a market icon (LA feud, Denver scandal, and so on). The Aston Martin commercial was one of the first televised Nike ads that featured Kobe, and a slew of other great clips followed. Let’s take a close-up look at the pink and white Nike Zoom Kobe V GS. There have been a ton of ZKV colourways already, but none of them have displayed this pair’s stark two-toned high-contrast colourblocking scheme. With just a hint of grey and no black whatsoever, the pink sections really pop from the white base, and you also get more ‘eye time’ to examine the texture of the Flywire’d side panels and woven heel sections. Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) – Three Colourways – Release Reminder

A trio of great colourways of the Nike Zoom Kobe V is set to release tomorrow, so Kobe fans have a hard time picking and choosing. The Inline Kobe V, one of the first colourways Sneaker News previewed, will finally release; Kobe and his fellow Lakers have grown attachment to this colourway as the Inline has been the go-to pair for Home games. Two pairs we’ve yet to see on Kobe’s feet are the Lower Merion ‘Aces’ Kobe V and the Black-Maize-Deep Forest colourway, both which will also release tomorrow. You can find the Inline and Aces at your House of Hoops, while the Deep Forest will be found only at Nike Sportswear at The Montalban in Hollywood, CA.

This upcoming colourway of the Nike Zoom Kobe V was dubbed the “Duke” colourway. Some didn’t agree with the nickname, until pictures of the Kobe V Duke PE with the Blue Devils logo stamped on the heel were revealed. Sneaker News did note that the production version would most likely come without the Duke logo to avoid any conflicts of interest (say, from a Tar Heels fan). Check out these new images of the Kobe V; these are set to released next Saturday, March 13th at the House of Hoops.

Yesterday night’s Kobe v. Wade is an example of one of the premiere shooting-guard match-ups over the last decade. Many celebrities and sports greats recognized the magnanimity of the bout, as Scottie Pippen, Albert Pujols, Jason Taylor, and Timbaland were courtside to witness the battle. To gear up for the contest, Kobe Bryant wore a new colourway of the Nike Zoom Kobe V, perhaps take some shine off Wade’s recently unveiled Air Jordan 2010. Thanks to the miracles of modern technology, you won’t have to be in line to get your Inlines. Dubbed ‘Inline’ as one of the first Lakers-coloured Nike Zoom Kobe Vs to be leaked in photos, these ZKVs are truly best suited for LA’s home-alternate white jerseys. They’re mostly white, with black and purple accents that tie the whole shoe together with a two-toned splatter pattern on the rear midsole. Nike’s style code also mentions the ‘Del Sol’ shade of yellow that appears on a bunch of Kobe sneakers, but it’s probably hidden on the inside or outsoles. Kobe Bryant sets the tone for his Laker teammates, both on the court and on their shoes. What if you could be the one to determine what Kobe, and thus, (most of) the rest of the Lakers wore during a nationally televised game?!
