We’ve seen so many colourways of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV at this point that pretty much nothing could shock us. Even with the wacky colourway pictured above, that’s still true, which isn’t to say that this new pair isn’t exciting. Among the first thoughts when viewing the combination of turquoise, white, black and red is that they’re reminiscent of the old school Vancouver Grizzlies uniforms. Not only has the new Kobe V been in production, but we’ve already seen some previews of some up and coming stuff. And yet, Nike just can’t let go of making some dope pairs of ZK4’s until the very point of no return for the arrival of the new signature shoe. C’mon… it’s a new season already, let’s move on. But we can’t forget about the Lakers’ performance last season, especially your boy KB’s 61-point performance. Similar to the special edition made for that momentous feat, these pop up with even more appeal. Not only does the black mamba pair also rock the Stephen Sprouse type graphics on the toebox and ankle, but also come fitted with custom wooden shoe trees. Such a shoe can’t just be shoved into a typical box. These come in a bad-ass metal MVP case, branded by some big names in basketball. Inside, a plaque commemorating Kobe’s athleticism in that unforgettable game. This won’t be like the Jordan 17’s where you contemplate to yourself, ‘is it really that worth it?” because only 8 pairs of these were made. Celebrity Feet: Kobe Bryant on Lopez Tonight Premier

When George’s new show, Lopez Tonight, premiered on TBS Tuesday night, he welcomed fellow LA-guy Kobe Bryant with a Scotty Cameron putter. On paper (or your computer screen), that sounds pretty generous, but when you consider that Lopez was reciprocating ‘cos KB blessed him with a pair of ‘Chaos’ Nike Zoom Kobe Vs (5), it might be reasonable to wonder if the host got the better end of that one. As for their conversation, parts were quite funny, especially the ‘audience’ questions at the end. Enjoy the entire video, including a good look at an almost Hornets-like jacket that nicely compliments the Chaos ZK5.

Nike Hyperdunk Low – White – Black – Red – New Images

Just a few days ago, we gave a look at these upcoming Hyperdunk Lows, and now we have another look at these samples thanks to MarqueeSole. As a low top silo, the Hyperdunk takes on a completely different feel, as if it were a completely different Nike style. It’s interesting to see such a shoe that introduced such ingenious new technology possibly jeopardize ankle support in a real basketball scenario, but then again, we don’t really see Kobe’s performance being compromised with his low cut sigs. Nonetheless, these add a new flare to the lows we previewed way back because of its beloved Chi-town colors. Keep posted for further info.

Nike Zoom Kobe V “Away” Colorway

Last month we gave you a peek at some upcoming colorways for the Nike Zoom Kobe V. Here is a detailed look at the “away” colorway for the Kobe V. This is a very technical shoe with a mainly synthetic upper and fly wire in the side panels to keep the shoe extra light and flexible. There are some unusual details to these Zoom Kobe V’s as well; the toe box and upper side panels have a black and purple croc print that is not usually seen on Basketball sneakers, as well as black and yellow spotted laces. The shoe is predominantly black with accents of the LA Lakers colors, the midsole is purple and black and of course the swoosh is purple and yellow. Via Marqueesole

Here’s a closer look at a pair of Nike Zoom Kobe IV’s we showed you a while back. The upper of is a mix of smooth leather and snakeskin printed leather for the toe and heel. The side panels use Nike’s newest Flywire technology that keep these Kobe IV’s light and very flexible. The color scheme is predominantly black with some clean accents of white and yellow for the swoosh, laces and speckled midsole.
