Who rocked the best kicks over the last two nights? That title might go to Jordan Crawford and his Air Jordan V ‘Raging Bull’ in a losing effort against the Knicks, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t other heat! Quentin Richardson rocked the Air Jordan X ‘Old Royal’, while the Chicago counterpart popped up on a few more players like Demar DeRozan, who has been exclusive to the Kobe VI for a while. LeBron James wore the Black/Red PE of his LeBron 9 again, Jordan Hill of the Rockets wore the Air Flight ’89 in a fitting colorway, and Jeremy Lin continued the Knicks’ ‘Linning’ ways with the Hyperfuse Low. Nike LeBron 9 iD – New Options Sneak Peek

Just a few days ago, Nike iD teased us with some new customizable options for the Nike LeBron 9, hinting at a possible Foamposite-like material on the upper. Here we have a first sneak peek at what might be in store for the Nike LeBron 9 iD, and it’s clear that there is in fact Foamposite or a similar material in place of the lightweight weave panel on the upper. Of course, this isn’t the first time Foamposite was used on a LeBron – that wonderful distinction goes to the Nike Zoom LeBron IV. February 11, 2012: Biggest Release Day Ever?

Sure, some solitary sneaker releases like the recent Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ Retro and a few others have packed as much (or more) anticipation and frenzy, but we’re not sure if there’s ever been a date in sneaker history with so many high profile releases all dropping on the same day. Where do we start? How about the Dave White Air Jordan 1 which has been heavily previewed and eagerly awaited while sitting in limbo without a confirmed release date? Or maybe the Nike ‘Black History Month’ Collection featuring Nike Basketball’s three-headed signature model monster and an accompanying set of four NSW offerings? Still not cracking your wallet open? Perhaps the ‘Old Royal’ Air Jordan X will change your mind. Or with Valentine’s Day on the way, maybe it will be a pair of the ‘Voltage Cherry’ Air Jordan IV GS for the lady or little lady in your life. Last but not least is the ‘Dynamic Blue’ colorway of the popular Zoom Rookie LWP model which has thus far been absent from the 2012 release schedule until now.

Quite a crop indeed, and while there is no singular release in the eleven sneakers anywhere near Concord-ian magnitude, the sum of all these parts adds up to quite possibly the most action-packed release date we’ve ever seen and a lot of difficult decisions for sneakerheads everywhere. Oh yeah, and by the way, White/Cement Air Jordan IV’s drop next Saturday and the All-Star weekend batch at the end of the month may trump this week’s bonanza. Hottest month ever? Foot Locker thinks so. Time to smash open those piggy banks and gear up for month long release mayhem, all starting tonight at midnight on NikeStore and nationwide at brick and mortar retailers like Extra Butter. Listen up, LeBron lovers! Nike’s been relatively quiet on the Valentine’s Day-themed sneaker front this year, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be gifted a tasty treat. Coming up on V-Day (the same day as the Air Jordan 2012 iD launch), NIKEiD will offer a series of new options on the Nike LeBron 9 Limited iD; what exactly will that mean? Right off the bat, the ‘Limited’ tag represents the potential for both a premium construction and small quantities available, but we’re all left wondering what kinds of things to expect next week. Should we read into the wavy texture on King James’ crown logo, or perhaps the Dunkman-esque palette on the graphic they tweeted?
