adidas zx 8000 berlin wall pack 01 adidas Originals ZX8000 Fall of the Berlin Wall Pack
adidas Originals has a lot to celebrate with the ZX 8000 “Fall of the Wall” Pack. 25 years ago the German brand ushered in the adidas ZX 8000, and this hasn’t gone unnoticed as the shoe has been featured in that 25 year Anniversary Pack as well as getting a number of printed looks throughout the year. But what makes this three pair collection special is that it also honors the fall of the infamous Berlin Wall that separated West Berlin from surrounding East Germany in a relic of the Iron Curtain during the Cold War. With three colorways in reference to the military checkpoints of Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie, you can expect this collection to arrive at select Three Stripe retailers on November 8th.

vans teams up with tyler kord for kitchen friendly slip on 01 Vans Collaborates with Chef Tyler Kord for Kitchen Friendly Vans Slip On

The days of saving up for retros with a fast food paycheck are happily over for many of us, but for those who’ve arrived in the grown up food industry, one of chefs and line cooks moving swiftly across an often slippery kitchen floor, finding the right pair to wear is often delegated to the lowest rung on the shoe totem pole – the beater. That’s where Vans latest collaborative project comes in, as they’ve teamed up with Tyler Kord, owner and head chef of the No.7 family restaurants, to create a kitchen-friendly Vans Classic Slip-On. The shoe comes complete with added cushioning to support standing for long periods of time, a siped outsole to prevent slipping, and the patented Vansguard outer coating to help the sneaker repel liquids to keep that clean black base fresher for longer. nike air force 1 high medium olive sail light brown 01 Nike Air Force 1 Mid Medium Olive Sail Light Brown

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid has remained rather untouched this fall, as the lunarlon donning successors and Sneakerboot renditions have occupied most of the release calendar. And while the Duckboot style remains one that Nike is intent on not bringing back, they are willing to reference the boot aesthetic atop the Air Force 1 Mid in the latest release, featuring a premium Medium Olive leather finish to coincide with a gum bottom. The surprise here is that Nike left the branding in a pristine white to still give it a sneaker aesthetic despite the boot inspired laces and overall tonal fall color palette. Grab a better view of this Nike Air Force 1 Mid after the break and expect this pair to arrive at select shops on November 1st, 2014.

adidas energy boost glow zone m 01 adidas Energy Boost Glow Zone

You know that shoes with a reflective uppers are trending when the 3M sheen falls upon the likes of the Nike Air Internationalist. Not that there’s anything wrong with the unheralded retro Swoosh runner (that was subsequently turned into a Mid for that shiny release), just that the reflective aluminum look is usually reserved for the more coveted, premium models as seen on the likes of the Air Jordan 13 or the Air Jordan 5Lab3. Apparently that’s no longer the case as the Three Stripes has outfitted the new adidas Energy Boost Glow Zone with the flashy aesthetic, complete with the patented BOOST midsole and Techfit upper. The shoe does the 3M build differently though, thanks to a number of perforations and panels throughout the upper for a truly unique take. Be sure to stick around after the click for a better view of this adidas Energy Boost and grab a pair today at select retailers like Titolo.

nike air force 1 low winter workboot pack 01 Nike Air Force 1 Winter Workboot Pack

These pairs aren’t quite the Duckboot aesthetic that some of you are hoping for, but the bolstered Nike Air Force 1 collection, complete with a Nike Air Force 1 High and Nike Air Force 1 Low passes the premium test thanks to a number of added features. First there’s the durable leather on each pair, for the High you have the classy Brogue Brown and for the Low, a sleek Deep Burgundy meshes well with the classic gum outsole. Gold eyelets and rope laces add to the whole booth aesthetic. In a Sneakerboot heavy release schedule, it’s nice to see that the Swoosh is still willing to release original pairs with some of the colorways we’re seeing on their durable successors. What do you think? Continue onward after the break for a better view of each AF1 and reserve your pair today from spots like Renarts.

New Balance 996 Made in USA – Grey – Red

new balance 996 made in usa grey red 01 New Balance 996 Made in USA Grey Red

Why is it that seemingly every time a Made in USA New Balance appears, it’s from a shop outside of America’s borders? Today we get a look at the recurring irony thanks to this New Balance 996, a pair fairly familiar with the luxurious Americanization of its upper as the last time we saw the model it appeared in a “Dark Grey” perforated leather/suede combination. Here they grey stays, but anything resembling leather is ditched for a matching tonal mesh while the heel gets a fall-ready burgundy treatment. We’re still waiting to see if this pair will arrive stateside anytime soon, but in the meantime, you can always pick up your size via select international shops like Up There.
