Keith Haring and Reebok Classics Present “Crack is Wack”

June 18th, 2014 by | 3 comments

keith haring reebok classics crack is wack 01 Keith Haring and Reebok Classics Present Crack is Wack

Both Reebok and Keith Haring took flight in the 1980s in two completely different scenes. While Keith Haring was busy painting New York City with his signature touch for the abstract and cartoon, all while having heavy involvement in the anti-drug campaign known as ‘Crack is Wack’, Reebok was taking off on the hardwood thanks to the likes of Dee Brown pumping up his sneakers in the Dunk Contest. Now the two return with their ongoing Reebok Classics x Keith Herring collaboration with three new colorways of the Reebok Insta Pump Fury, Leather Court Victory Pump and previously seen Pump Omni Lite. Featuring an array of orange, black and white, the Insta Pump Fury gets the most vibrant hue, but the other classic silhouettes do manage to fit in an extra dose of cut out shapes and graphics throughout. Stick around after the click for a few at the entire Keith Haring collaboration and be sure to let us know which pair is your favorite in the comments section.

nike air max 1 dark dune catalina 2 Nike Air Max 1 Dark Dune Catalina Hyper Punch

The Nike Air Max 1 has been editing the color blocking atop the shoe with the likes of the “Split Sole” release, and even taking a two-toned approach by having the lower half of the sneaker hit with a seamless one shade to contrast fromt he base. That seems to be the go to look for this Summer, as Nike continues with that thought process upon this “Dark Dune” release. The sneaker gets a casual khaki base that alternates between mesh on the toebox and ankle while the main side panel and Swoosh get outfitted in suede, then the lower half surprises thanks to a vibrant teal while hyper punch lines sneaker. What do you think of the latest Air Max 1 release? Be sure to stick around after the click for a better view and while a release date hasn’t been set for a stateside drop just yet, you can grab a pair today via Titolo.

June 17th, 2014 by | 3 comments

anteater saucony jazz sea and sand global release 01 Anteater x Saucony Jazz Original Sea and Sand Global Release Date

You’ve seen the methodology before – a retro runner gets outfitted with a new premium color blocking, one that contrasts materials like a soft suede, mesh and or leather, and a sneaker that would normally get a pass instead garners a noteworthy amount of buzz and wins you over. That’s been the story behind plenty of Asics collaborations (this particular pair brings a Salmon Toe to mind) and now Saucony has has turned heads with this “Sea and Sand” Saucony Jazz Original. Russian retailer Anteater teamed up with the brand to outfit the silhouette in a clever play on the store’s title as the toebox gets outfitted in a sandy hue to nod at place you’d find ants prevalent while a royal nylon hits the side panels. The shoe floated around earlier this year, but now the word is that they’ll arrive at select retailers around the globe this Saturday, June 21st. What do you think? Stick around for a better look at this Saucony Jazz collaboration and reserve your pair at shops like Hanon.

Their creations keep things rather simple for this Summer, using a monochromatic scheme ranging from an all off-white to a navy and a black pair. Puma has recently revamped its Puma Trinomic XT1 Plus with a number of retro colorways, but nearly nobody saw the collaboration with German rapper MC fitti coming. While we’ve seen a number of vibrant colorways hit the retro running silhouette, this time around the contrasting white and black base keeps things simply subtle so that the scuba blue and pink accents can light up the sneaker in sparse details. The sneaker will even come with a limited edition sticker sheet featuring the rappers’ likeness. adidas Originals Introduces SL Loop Runner

adidas originals introuces sl loop runner 01 900x600 adidas Originals Introduces SL Loop Runner
adidas Originals has been on top of its lifestyle footwear line since the 1972 Munich Olympics when they set off to give their runners a comfortable post-performance sneaker. The result was the adidas SL ’72 – a shoe that would let the athletes’ hard working feet relax when being rewarded at the podium. Now the brand looks to recreate that magic with the introduction of their adidas SL Loop Runner; the silhouette builds upon successful releases like the ZX Flux thanks to a lightweight midsole that aids the unique mesh upper, and yet manages to harken back to retro releases thanks to a T-toe construction. The three stripes even play a pivotal role as they move from the side panel into to the lace eyelets, creating an appealing “reverse” stripes integration into lace loops. As always, catch a full preview of the latest adidas Originals release in four brand new tie-die esque colorways after the click and pick up your favorite via adidas today.
